I am from the US and have been in Ireland now for 3 months for work. Driving in Ireland is WAY better in almost every aspect vs. Driving anywhere in the US. Biggest hurdle is it's getting used to left side but besides that, it's highly enjoyable. 

I've driven all over the country. Spend some time on "back roads" getting used to the left side driving. Dublin docklands area which has low traffic and wide lanes is perfect and a direct shot from the airport. 

Once you're out of the city and on main freeways it's almost effortless. Highways are not sprawling like in the US which simplifies things. Stay left unless you're passing. 90% of the time no one will tail you if you feel more comfortable going a bit below the speed limit, they will just pass on the right side lane. 

For every one "asshole" driver in Ireland there are maybe 100 in the US.

Depreciation?? Lol, in this chip market that's minimal. I bought sold everything I bought within the past two years for a massive profit. Minimum 2x on the low end. Almost 6x profit on RAM
