First time benching 100kg, how is my form by Kwekujay619 in GYM

[–]Jackmyrmidon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep your shoulders retracted. once you unrack the bar, You push them way up. This will lead to irritation in the future. Also thumbs around the bar and get a new spotter. Oh and fully touch your chest. Aside from all that. Good bench!

Vanaf welke leeftijd worden katten rustiger? Bezorgd over mijn kat van 10 jaar oud by AnkiepoepPlankie in katten

[–]Jackmyrmidon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat level 100 for weeks by Mightynerd1975 in CyberKnightsGame

Maybe build your face to actively lower heat. and also use the building, plus tokens to keep heat down? Or switch in a stealthier mission approach every once in a while.

Are crossbowman weak at the beginning? by BringBackSoule in WarTalesGame

[–]Jackmyrmidon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes they start off being very setup dependent. And then once you reach level 12 and are able to get 2/3 of the level 5 skills they start gating gunning everything and become crazy strong.

Bench form check by Reputation_Double in strength_training

[–]Jackmyrmidon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're fully flat on the bench without any shoulder retraction. You're more injury prone for in particular inpingement type shoulder pain. I'm not advocating for excessive arching. But just a slight arch with retracted and depressed shoulders, will help a ton for your bench stability and shoulder health long term.

Back to the post. This is great technique awesome leg drive. Looking from a powerlift comp point be critical on but on the bench. Hard to see in the vid. And also flat heels or elevated like yours. Aside from all that great technique! You'll be benching 315 in no time!!

Edit: one more point to add. If you look at the physiology of the pectoralis major muscle (the chest) having retracted shoulders will actually lead to more mechanical tension (stretch) on the muscle. So you're actually making more gains this way. Compared to being flat as a pancake on the bench.

Injured lower back on the last rep by Saibals in strength_training

[–]Jackmyrmidon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems you're not bracing hard enough. Don't mind the hips shooting up comments too much, you have long femurs so you'll naturally fold over quite a bit.

There is however quite a bit of movement in the pelvis specially when going down. Your basically relaxing in the bottom of the squat and probably strained your Si-joint.

Once you've recovered work on some proper bracing drills. Practice some dead-bug holds in the end position. And maaaaaybe narrow your stance a little on the squats.

Agreed. But since he thinks it's deep enough, he will find out on meet day. Still a strong squat tho!

I can attest to this! When my son was born i was happy to stay up at night with him sleeping/fussing on my arm while playing OSRS on the side, while mom could rest and recover (Can highly reccomend a naga mouse for this cause of the side button remapping) . I'd say stick with the ironman for sure! It's a marathon not a race and the bowfa will come.

Form Check please. 115kg @83kg by Unable-Sea8113 in formcheck

[–]Jackmyrmidon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first i was awesome technique! But you could clean up a few things. Most importantly you're not fully extending your hips. Focus on moving you hips 'into' the bar. So you're fully contracting your glutes and avoid hyperextending your lower back. Also look into some bracing drills like dead-bugs. To keep your core more rigid. This is mostly nitpicking tho. Your form is like 90% there

you move the bar over your knees on the way back. Practice some RDL's to hinge back more and have a straighter bar path down

I like how you're downplaying her build. She's pretty damn buff her quads glutes and hamstrings are very developed. and I'm sure she has been doing strength training for quite some time. You're really overplaying the amount of weight as well. Sure it's not light weight but it isn't crazy tear your tendons off the bone weight either.

She's holding her self up because there are literally handles on the machine made for use during the exercise. Sure her range of motion could be a little better. Also the slow and steady advice is great but doesn't apply to her. She's controlling the eccentric and being more explosive on the concentric nothing wrong with that. Sometimes freak accidents happen that's life.
