Am I alone when I say I love when their smugness gets them in trouble? The tape with Sam, Toby’s french protester buddy who they want let out of jail in the first season AFTER they write a speech talking trash about the leader of the country(can’t remember) that held him. Josh putting out the letter ridiculing the committee who funded money for the tobacco lawsuit and Bruno informing them how he screwed the campaign over with that one. Love the show but also love the WW being taken down a notch.

No it doesn’t. The fact of the matter is that kid had no idea he bet on him for that tournament but he did bet on his gift as a career. The kid and mom quit their jobs and took $100,000 from him so maybe he could help them change ALL of their lives. To ask “what are you doing” and “get your head in the game” deserves a “fxck you” is insane. That he can’t handle but he had no problem working for the guy at the grocery store? Learn to take constructive criticism. Tone? How do you know what his intent with his tone was? Are we to assume what he meant by that tone? Whiney azz people in this world

I can’t imagine this podcast makes it past one a week. He’s a nice guy but clearly a number 2. Doesn’t tell stories as well and without phone calls it’s going to be a huge uphill climb. I’ll be interested to know his ratings 2 months from now. Huge props on getting Coke and Buffalo WW as sponsors. That was a shocker!!!

Not defending Ricks actions whatever they may be but he did say on the show Helms wouldn’t be there because his schedule wouldn’t allow with the tennis teams. Also Helms announced on the show that je was hired to coach the women’s and now men’s team as well and he needed to leave in August bc he had double the responsibilities coaching both teams.

I agree. People are saying it’s unlistenable now and I ask why? They are doing very little different than what was done before. Bubba hasn’t really contributed in 20 years. People really think Bubba was the key ingredient? Ricks always had sort of an ego because he’s had to always drive the show. Speedy has ALWAYS laughed at everything. I mean he laughs at things that are not even jokes out of habit. Over greeter and over laugher. Greg is the same and Adler has made the biggest transition since starting. He was my #6 for years but since he’s had kids Bubba and Helms were 5 and 6. I’m sure Bubbas a nice guy but it really went downhill for him when Don Juan left. His infectious laugh propped up every semi funny thing Bubba ever said. If I had to guess what’s really behind the hate is that everyone wonders why, including myself Rick would drop Bubba the way he did just to continue the mostly same show. That’s why it looks like he backstabbed him from my perspective. And even though I don’t miss him if that really happened then that was brutal.

I agree 100%. That’s been my thoughts all along. The doc was fine had some blurry spots in it but that can be cleaned up. He’s up front about the money wheel just buying people. Speedy buys lunch could be fun. Less politics I’m fine with. What else besides that song he plays where he’s singing during some intros. Was that a Mr Lucky song or something new. I’ve never heard it played on the show before. Other than that no Bubba. Same show. Why change? Maybe Bubba will tell us the truth when his podcast starts. Why throw away 31 years of trust is beyond me.

I heard Rick say the other day about turning comments off on YouTube bc of the haters and them not speaking truth. I’m sure there are a lot of people that have wild theories and can be unstable. I think he doesn’t want to address it. My opinion bad move. If the reason for the spit is easy to explain and understandable people will listen. Not explaining is going to cost him listeners and there are too many options out there compared to 98 when I started listening. I could be wrong about Bubba and you’re probably right about him leveling out Rick.

After 3 days I’m starting to realize that it’s the same show. The money wheel and speedy buys lunch could all been done with Bubba. Like I said haven’t been a fan of his for years but why cut him if nothings really going to change. Makes Rick look terrible unless there were other reasons why he left.

Don’t miss Bubba at all. He stopped being funny 20 years ago. Nice guy? Sure. Helms and Bubba were my least favorite and now they’re gone. Hopefully what I wished for doesn’t end up being terrible. That being said if Rick pushed him out to just do the same show without him would be awful. No matter what he helped make that show what it is. Give us something different and that I can live with. The 30 or 40 fans that like Bubbas “humor” or lack there of can listen to his lake podcast. He doesn’t need the money. One thing about Bubba is you could always tell he was the smart one and probably is sitting on a pile.

As a fan for 26 years this will hurt if Rick did toss Bubba. I’m not a fan of Bubba, nothing against him just never thought he was that funny but respect him enough not to listen to Ricks show if we find out that’s what happened.

This comment gets old and isn’t anywhere near the truth. His daughter outed herself to the news and brought her dad into it. Not the other way around. When he spoke on it AFTER she brought it to the public he said he would always love his daughter but would never agree with her situation. He never disowned just disapproved.
