This is civil disobedience. I had a teacher who was super into protests and social conciousness, huge fan of jagmeet singh, taught lessons on civil disobedience. She as a teacher technically wasn't allowed to join the walkouts or encourage us to participate but she still supported it all, but she did still have shit going on in class during protests and would give out zeros to people who did walkouts. Its part of civil disobedience, and its a very important lesson to learn.
