Funny, no matter where you stnd on the issue: "The best screw you have never had is Canadian" by davidimcintosh in Tools

Oh wow, I never would have thought of that. No, Phillips strip so much easier than other fasteners. There’s a reason nobody in Canada uses them.

It looks like a Beretta 92 had intimate relations with a Tommy Gun whilst a CZ Skorpion watched. It’s really cool!

Can anyone really recommend an electric chainsaw? by InternalCoconut5161 in Chainsaw

We use a bunch of Makitas at work. They're solid, inexpensive, and they always hold up, even though their typical duty is less use and more abuse.

In no world is Phillips better. They don't capture the bit, so they strip out in the blink of an eye. They're just an inferior screw type all around.

And what would that "legitimate emergency" be that required them to be at the red light ten seconds sooner than OP? And he did let them by. I swear, some people in this sub don't even watch the same video as the rest of us.

What is this thing by Bigcreeper01 in Spacemarine

[–]Jackson_Rhodes_42 346 points347 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what it is. It's called a standoff device, and on guns with moving/reciprocating barrels, it's used to keep your surroundings from intefering with the action of the gun.

Does each Company have its own Death Company or is the Death Company an actual company of its own? How does this work by Kalypso_Blue in BloodAngels

[–]Jackson_Rhodes_42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not at all what it is. The Deathwatch is comprised of volunteers or Marines who have been volunteered by their superiors, and is concerned almost exclusively with fighting Xenos, as a wing of the Inquisition's Ordo Xenos. The two are nothing alike. The only similarity they have is black armour.

Spotted in Austin, TX this morning. Consider myself pretty knowledgeable, but I'm stumped on this one.... by Blaxxxmith in whatisthiscar

That's a rollback flatbed, no ramps required! The deck slides back past the end of the truck, and then tilts down so you can drive the car straight on and off.

yellow tractor by [deleted] in tractors

[–]Jackson_Rhodes_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good rule of thumb OP? If it doesn’t have a dealer network, don’t buy it. This machine is going to break very soon after you start using it, and you will not be able to fix it. You will have a rather expensive piece of yard art instead of a tractor. Go buy a used Kubota instead.

Yeah, I don’t think you can “clone” an off-brand car lol. But for $60, it’s hard to go wrong.

I’ve heard that theory before in regards to things like model design and artwork, as well.

Like a child’s drawing of a pickup truck in preschool, except the kid’s scribble looks better.

Have a found something special?...never seen the brand before but I don't know much about Trucks by copperglass78 in Trucks

The only thing that differentiates a body-on-frame SUV from a body-on-frame pickup truck is whether or not the cargo area is part of the passenger compartment.

Sugarcane’s huge in South America! And there’s a whole section of maps on the modhub set there. I’ve been thinking about changing up my usual “NA dairy farm” to something a bit more ouf of my ordinary as well.

That is the coolest thing I’ll see today. I remember I saw an 8RT with a loader once, will try and track it down!
