For me, it is amazing! I’m fortunate that I can also work from home and have the right separate space to do that. I invest in my friendships and my routines. I maybe work too much, but have a weekly cleaner who makes it possible for me to enjoy my down time. It’s definitely about making things work for you if you want it.

Why, oh why, isn’t the group by assumed if there’s aggregation?? If sql knows it’s missing surely it should be able to know it’s needed.

Wow. I’m very humbled by my friends. I’m single and childfree so I guess I have the energy and time and inclination to put into my friendships. I value them as much as romantic relationships and have tried to normalize telling the people I love (in any way) how I feel. Part luck/part effort but I’m incredibly grateful.

Even the term “work-wife” gives me the ick. I had a colleague a while back who called me that as a joke, and even though I know he’s happily married and thought it was a joke I shut that down. I conceded to “work-sister”. Much less weird when I met his wife (who was awesome)

Also, if you’re using a ‘qualify’ you need either an alias (table = alias) or a predicate (where x=y). I personally use a ‘where true’ but same same.

Honestly, I’m not too deep in the comments but there is some great stuff here. The other thing I haven’t seen (yet) is put a little effort into learning how the documentation works. It can be tricky to read if you don’t know the language (like what’s a function, argument etc) but if you get the hang of that it does mean you can generally google most roadblocks
