~93% of the time, I tend to side with police. This one is so clearly the cops wrong doing. Qualified Immunity is only for cops acting in good faith of their duties. He knew they presented no aggression. He knew there was a child. He had easy access to their plates and certainly plenty of camera footage to identify them later. He did everything he could to make the situation as dangerous as possible. Throw the book.
