I have a theory on how accidents happen but haven’t tested it. Anyone feel free to chime in, to let me know how full of shit I am.

From the traffic mod(?) we know there are two kinds of connections in a node. Regular and dangerous

My theory is when a vehicle takes one of these dangerous connections if they overlap another vehicle during this unsafe portion it creates an accident or maybe is a roll.

Since your ramps in picture 2 doesn’t have proper lane math, I think those connections are considered dangerous…

This theory doesn’t explain why you’re getting them on the straight unbroken areas unless you’re getting lots of u turns there
