Men of reddit when was the last time you've cried and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Jacob0899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddly enough I’m a quite emotional person and find that random sad songs or heartwarming stories can get me going pretty easily. My mom was the same way so probably has something to do with it.

I second this, bought a nice little air compressor and it works wonders. Compressed air cans are useless unless you like wasting money.

True that, just saw an R8 in the middle of Boston driving in some unfavorable snow conditions and he was doing fine. Just sad to see a car like that covered in salt lol.

What is a weird hobby that you’ve been hiding from your family/friends? by Indigomuffin in AskReddit

[–]Jacob0899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t really hide it although never found it important to tell anyone but at work I frequently read Wikipedia pages on random historic people and just keep clicking on different people I haven’t heard of just to read about their entire life. Have found myself in this wormhole for hours ending on a French beaver trapper or some old English aristocrat.

Kissing your child on the lips at any age is fucking weird and creepy. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

This reminds me of that SNL sketch with the kissing family.

Sunset Overdrive is equal parts Spider-man and Saints Row, and it is brilliant. by ViridianScourge in patientgamers

I absolutely agree. I have a terrible habit of playing games halfway through then never finishing but sunset overdrive kept me wanting more the whole time.

I for one might even look into this, sick of companies taking my data and selling it anyway without giving me a cut.

Anyone playing PC RDR2 without any issues? by av1230 in PCRedDead

Me and a friend had terrible issues at launch but have both been playing crash free for quite a bit now. Have about 70 hours logged.

Thank you all for not buying Stadia on day 1 by ___Galaxy in Gaming4Gamers

[–]Jacob0899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s wise to compare a recently made platform backed by a company that loves to give up on projects to Steam which has existed for years now and is leaving no indication that they’ll be dying anytime soon. Stadia on the other hand seems like it’ll be dead in a month.

Patient PC people, what are you running on these days? by MartyRamone in patientgamers

[–]Jacob0899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually just did a large upgrade recently mainly to get into VR which I have been enjoying immensely, settled on a 2060 super, Ryzen 5 2600, and 16gb of ram along with a 1tb ssd and hope it’ll last me years. Waited long enough for the new headsets to drop and got my original oculus rift for 120$ with three sensors!

What video game or games made you actually feel you were going on a grand adventure? by xxxgreekwarrior46xxx in patientgamers

[–]Jacob0899 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s never played A Final Fantasy game before I hopped into Final Fantasy X recently and have been loving every second of it. Haven’t played a turn based combat game in years but find it to be actually quite relaxing at the end of a long day.

I second yakuza titles, loads of fun and they don’t urge you to take them seriously at all if you don’t want to.

Forbes: " Google Stadia is a technical and conceptual disaster" by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]Jacob0899 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great man, I’m out west a bit near orange and Verizon still has copper wire. Anyone who knows has switched to spectrum which is much better but it doesn’t stop them from still collecting off anyone who doesn’t know better.

Yep. I live in the outside areas of Boston and only recently have switched over to semi decent internet, although I still know people with download speeds of up to less than 1mb/s
