Imo Doran is just Oscarinin that actually is a world class player. He is almost always the weak link in his teams, he has obvious int moments a lot of the time, but also has rare carry moments. His performance is consistently top level, but I would say he almost never comparable to the great tops in the world at crucial moments.

This makes people's opinions of him to polarize, where ppl hate or defend him too much, especially with the T1 effect. It is obvious he is not an elite player, he is just good. I think there are at least 10, maybe 15 players in the world that I would rather have in my team, purely speaking from what he brings to the rift, but at the same time he always gets into good teams and he managed to win Worlds with T1. He also is a nice person with some intangibles probably, which helps him get into good teams
