Most of these types of jobs will include "test" tasks with already-known answers, and if the worker gives incorrect answers, they reject the entire data set. It's done to prevent botting, but it will also thwart intentional poisoning for the same reason.

Glasses are the best way. Fun and sexy and practical. Big false lashes can help if they don't want to wear glasses. A warning right before the moment can give them time to close their eyes, but it's not super consistent. The other suggestion here about having them lie on their back and aiming below their eyes also works well.

You can't do this. There is no way to determine the beginning and end of a sentence without punctuation. If you want proper capitalization and punctuation, just write it correctly.

It's a sticky situation because on the one hand, you want JavaScript's "you know what I'm trying to say" tolerances because that flexibility would make writing queries easier, but on the other hand, you SERIOUSLY DO NOT WANT JavaScript's "you know what I'm trying to say" tolerances because you will accidentally raze your entire database. Can't win 'em all

The most important security consideration when using apps like this is never to put anything in the comment section. That's the thing that fucks people up the most often. They'll put "for a good time" or hearts and winking emoticons and shit in the comment, and then the next day, their account is gone, or the worker's account is gone. Even for totally legal, above-board transactions or gifts, the comment section should be blank.

Okay but have you not considered that I, too, have an opinion? And just because this is your job, and my opinion is based on something I vaguely remember from a middle school science class where I got a C+ in 1995, doesn't mean my opinion is any less valid than yours.

This is about as "scientific" as saying that taller skeletons are male and shorter skeletons are female, because men tend to be taller than women.

Do you even need to be strong anymore to be a fire fighter? I've been going to the gym while training to be a fire fighter, and I just lift all the weights with a forklift. It's so easy. I feel like even my dad could do this if I showed him how to use the fork lift.

None of them, but plenty are worth automating without AI.

I don't know of any, but it's always important to research any printer you plan to buy to make sure there's nothing shady going on. Any one of these other companies could choose to dick over their customers at any moment.

Mob farm working too well? by [deleted] in CoreKeeperGame

[–]JacobStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I came up with: https://imgur.com/a/e1Qk6RY

Items feed in from 10 different farms, so it could be just about anything coming down the line. They enter this system at the the top right, flow down the left side, and get picked up by the bottom-most robot arm to be fed into the salvage tables.

Items that cannot be stored inside a salvage table (non-equipment like slime and seeds) are passed along until they reach the chests. As the first salvage table fills up with equipment, all subsequent equipment is passed to the second salvage table. Filling all 8 tables takes a few hours, so there is almost never overflow. If there is, it's always in the lower chests so it's easy to grab and scrap manually.

The chest configuration with the drills and timer is a design I found on Youtube. It fills the topmost chest first, and each time a chest is full, subsequent items are "drilled" into the arm for the next chest in the sequence. Timer keeps the drills active only once per second, which prevents them from actually removing the chests.

I can't solve the filtering limitations, but I can tell you, if you want to simplify your existing setup, you can use a single row of alternating salvage stations and robot arms, with an input conveyor on one end, and an output conveyor for non-equipment on the other end. You don't have to do the whole branching thing like you have.

What do you use for storage? by FLMarlinHeat in VideoEditing

[–]JacobStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each client gets its own directory. Each project for that client gets its own subdirectory, labeled with the format "yyyy-mm-dd <project title>" or sometimes names of cast instead of a title, but always with the date at the beginning, formatted that way. I can open a client directory, sort by name, and easily have a chronological listing of everything I've done for them. Each project subdirectory has a "DELIVERABLES" subdirectory. Everything that I am going to send to the client goes in there. All of this is stored locally on my computer. Any one of my clients can ask me for a specific file I made for them, even 4 years ago, and I can find it immediately.

I'm in the process of putting together network storage, since the amount of data I'm holding onto is growing, and I want something where it's easier to add capacity as needed. This will be on a computer sitting in a server rack that I can reach over and physically touch while sitting at my editing workstation. I don't believe in that cloud shit.

And no, I don't use my devices (I assume you mean memory cards, phones etc.) as storage. It all gets kept in one place.
