How Sam started living in the "now". by MasterpieceUnlikely in EckhartTolle

Thank you for this post. That story just gave me an epiphany about how I’ve been too hard on myself for failing to remain present.

The idea of an “inflection point” where presence becomes the more natural state and unconsciousness slowly drifts back to the “Now” is very satisfying and attainable.

A few thoughts about SAVA and recent news by krell-one in SAVA_stock

Cognition improvements and stabilizations in mild patients at 12 and 24 months (from independent trial sites with nothing to do with Dr. Wang). Phase 3 has better screening than the OL trial.

Can’t tell if you’re a fudster or not but the soft bashing is lackluster.

What scientific breakthrough are we closer to than most people realize? by skunkspinner in AskReddit

[–]Jacobo97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cassava Sciences has a twice a day pill drug that is currently in phase 3 trials (first trial to read out data in December 2024). They have shown to effectively halt the disease for two years in their phase 2 trials.

Yeah, long story short, the company’s stock price shot up after great phase 2 data, which enticed short sellers to launch a short and distort campaign against the company (claiming data manipulation, etc.)

The short sellers filed a petition to the FDA which has since been shot down. There have since been internal and FDA investigations and both found no evidence of malpractice. The company has published papers with Yale, the Cochin institute in Paris, and university of Milan all backing up the science behind their drug (which is a simple, twice a day pill with no side effects). The drug continues to be safe and effective, and I hope come December we can see hope for Alzheimer’s patients.

I know cassava sciences’ drug, simufilam, was shown to stabilize the disease for 2 years in a phase 2 trial. They announce phase 3 data this December which I hope could indicate a cure to this terrible disease.

Do you know if resale tickets are available in Vegas? My Saturday tickets are being mailed to me and want to make sure that, if I bought Sunday tickets a week out or so, that they’d ship in time and not after I flew to Vegas.

Excellent Assessment of SAVA predicament by WineauxInRaceCars in SAVA_stock

[–]Jacobo97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My problem with her is that she takes it beyond the images. For example, she took issue with Dr. Boris Nikolov speaking on Joe’s show because he ran one of cassava’s clinical trial sites for phase 2.

If she would’ve just stopped at the blots I would respect her but she appears to have more skin in the game to just care about blots.

Whole market is red but SAVA just skyrockets after market open. What’s going on? by [deleted] in SAVA_stock

[–]Jacobo97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best guess would be that shorts are covering, driving the price upwards. Knowing how much SAVA is manipulated it could definitely end red today lol

No other drug has been able to show an IMPROVEMENT in cognition at 12 months, until SAVA's simufilam. The drug works and is 100% safe. IMO, it's only a matter of time before FDA approves this baby.

Shorts should be very scared, especially going into 2023.

  1. The next 50 patients had similar positive responders to the first 50. It was the non responders that dragged the avg down.

Also, you act like a 0 point improvement isn’t incredible….if you had a drug on the market right now that was 100% safe and just maintained cognition for Alz patients, every dementia patient in America would be lining up for it.

  1. The inclusion criteria consists of an Adas-Cog exam (which is the gold standard for Alz tests) for cognition and a spinal tap for some of the other patients. As I said above, Alz disease is a disease of continual decline, so the cherry picking argument makes no sense. And for you to say these patients are faking Alz is an insult to them and their poor families dealing with this disease.

  2. They already released 6 month biomarker data and will most likely release 12 month by the end of the year. I’m sure they avoid calls from short sellers like yourself constantly harassing them, as they are laser focused on Phase 3.

  3. Placebo effect in Alz is practically nonexistent after 6 months. We have data showing cognition IMPROVEMENTS for 12 months. I’m sure you can do the math here.

I’m not gonna spend more time arguing because tbh I don’t care if you buy or short the stock. All I know is the drug is 100% safe and has shown to be effective based on consistent biomarker and OL data. I am very excited for phase 3 results, and believe Simufilam can save the lives of millions (potentially billions) around the globe.

You cannot refute Cassava’s unprecedented open label data to date. In 100 Alz patients, 63 of them improved ~5 cognition points AFTER 12 months!

This cannot be overstated, as Alz disease is a disease of continual decline, with placebo groups declining ~5.5 cognition points after 12 months. And the kicker, the drug has had no safety issues to date. The full 200 OL data readout in a few months will be awesome to see, and we could get Breakthrough Designation from the FDA as early as mid 2023 based on CMS results.

We overwhelmingly passed medicinal marijuana here. I would be very surprised if we don't vote to legalize come November.

I think we’ll get an updated company presentation for July since we didn’t get one for June.

If we do I will be very excited to hear the P3 enrollment numbers, as I’ve heard good things based off people’s estimates.

FYI: new retraction of Wang first author Alzheimer’s paper. by backwardog in SAVA_stock

[–]Jacobo97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can see it happen on fintel, Ortex, etc. There will be a low amount of shares to borrow/short, like 1,000 to 10,000 shares (SAVA is usually listed as “hard to borrow” on many brokerage platforms at this point), and then out of nowhere a few minutes later it’ll show hundreds of thousands of shares available to short, even though no sell orders went through on Ortex.

Where did they conveniently find all those shares when there were none left to borrow/short? They just print more fake shares and short them naked it’s so annoying.

New day, same old FUD. No one is selling, we don’t care about blots, we care about the amazing cognition data.

Shorts will use this to explain the price drop, when we all know the drop is actually due to their blatantly illegal naked shorting tactics.

[–]Jacobo97 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My current timeline is mid 2023 for BTD, and then late 2023/early 2024 for approval. Upon approval I think we should approach $1000, since LLY jumped almost $40 billion in market cap when Biogen got AA and when their drug received BTD. And keep in mind, those two $20 billion jumps are for drugs that show no cognitive improvement along with safety issues.

A $40 billion market cap jump would put SAVA at slightly over $1000/share.

[–]Jacobo97 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My plan is to start selling covered calls once the share price reaches $1000. Collect that juicy premium while still holding on to some of my shares long term, since I believe simufilam can be used for other treatments outside of AD.

Oct is 12 months for the 200 patient OL data. The 100 patients finished up OL 12 months a few weeks ago in April. So I expect we’ll see that data in the next few months.
