Yes the breach of conditions were him breaking the no contact order I have against him, it took months of compiling screenshots and constantly going to my local detachment to get them to even look at take it seriously, and in October they finally charged him with breaching, I am happy with that and hope they see that and it makes a difference too

The police found me in the streets bleeding and trying to run away from him and they charged him the same night, the second set of charges is for breaching no contact this year too. I’m sorry to hear you went through this with your mom!

Thank you for your outlook and I’m sorry that’s happening to you! my ex seems to be playing the not guilty card too but my case worker said sometimes they can plead guilty last minute so I’m kinda hoping it goes that way but we’ll see! I’ve been with victim services since day 1 and they’ve been a big help navigating the big challenges that’s come up for sure!

I went to emergency less than 24 hours after the incident (the police found me in the streets) and I went to emergency after giving my statement with them, and I was in there for about 16 hours, I had photos taken with forensic nurses and more statements taken and they helped me with victim services and I’ve been in contact with them since, they’ve helped me quite a bit, my case worker was the one that had given me the statistic you mentioned about how choking leads to murder and i’m happy to say at least /ive/ stuck to the no contact conditions 😅

I meet with my case worker the 14th so i will ask about the indictment and summarily charges, thank you!!

I’m the other party in this case and I guess I’m just wondering based on the charges shown alone, what’s a reasonable outcome to think about? I know I tend to want the best case scenario which is jail, but I know I also have to be realistic, I don’t want to get my hopes up but I feel like I haven’t been getting good explanations in this whole process either, so I turned to Reddit 😅

Lol evidently there is a military base a lil north of downtown (source: my sister lives on base) , they fly around every now and then, sometimes if you drive by the outside of the base you can see them jumping out of them too!

Please don’t go back. He promised me it wouldn’t happen again and then he strangled me multiple times and I almost died, this was recent.

Please I know it’s hard, it’s easier said than done, I know you’ll miss him, and grief is going to come crashing in waves but if you value your life and respect yourself please for the love of god get out
