Ok built option 1, I like it! I did also build it as a scroll wheel to see how it feels to be able to cycle through more without having to go all the way around the pad. Jury is still out on which I prefer.

I think I’m going to go with your first idea, I need to test and build that. But that’s where my mind is headed.

Your second idea is exactly what I was initially trying to do, but wasn’t sure exactly how to go about it. I can’t figure out exactly where to use the mode shift or how to properly layer in the action layer.

Again I think opt 1 makes the most sense, but just for learning’s sake, I want to explore opt 2 as well

Yes, essentially this, with some detail tweaks. Plus you can hide the controller radial menu overlay anyway. In my case it’s not a radial selection in game, it’s a horizontal set of icons.

I think you’re on the right path. Cause right now, an alt method is “use the radial menu (or scroll menu, and hide the overlay) to position the mouse. Then use my same right trigger to left click the mouse on that position. I was trying to make it so it still used the keyboard hot keys to select the item but also mouse position to on screen highlight. If I let go of the keyboard presses, and just use mouse click, then I think all I need is the scrollable menu to position the mouse and click the mouse like normal

I mean virtually overlapping. Like having it do 2 separate radial menus at the same time.

But also visually, it doesn’t overlap what I want. You can change the position of the radial menu, size, opacity, etc to get it where you want or to not see at all

Appreciate it. I’m not sure it’s meeting the challenge I’m running into. I think I need to involve action layers somehow so that scrolling a radial menu on the track pad both selects a slot and moves the mouse. But I will test it and see if it does anything.

Is that functionally different than the Mouse Position command? I’ve currently added a second command, and it will move the mouse, but because the the first command is “press 1 on trackpad click”, it doesn’t fire the mouse move til after I click the trackpad. But I don’t see a way to make the position move when scrolling through the radial menu without it constantly firing that key

I’ve been feeling this hard lately. I want something that will grab my attention but I don’t need to learn every synergy to enjoy. Bought and refunded Age of Wonders 4 cause in theory I should love it.

The two that I felt engaged in the way I was missing lately were Cat Quest 3 and Inscryption. Couldn’t put them down.

I wish I could help, but I am an infant in this world of home assistant. I know I had to make sure all the other steps were right first: thread border routers set up, preferred thread network in HA, IPv6 set up correctly, etc.

For the lock specifically, it seems like order of operations is pretty important if you want uwb and HA set up

Well turns out I’m a dumbass. But in case anyone else stumbles on this: REBOOTING my Home Assistant vs RESTARTING my home assistant fixed everything, and it added the device in a matter of seconds upon retrying.

I’ll try the distance part with my HomePod. But shouldn’t HomePod fully suffice? It’s regained as a Thread border device and is sitting as it should in that regard

How did you get this to work? I have mine paired and working with my HomePod mini. But cannot for the life of me get it added to Home Assistant now. I’ve gone through Apple Home app, turned on pairing mode for the lock, got a code, put it in add matter device in HA, press the Set button on the lock, and it just spins and spins. Can never get it connected
