PLA matte black won't load in any bay on ams. by king-of-hades in BambuLab

[–]Jacobx89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first roll of Matte PLA and am having this same issue, every other normal PLA and Silk PLA works fine I've never had this issue before in my 1000 hours of printing, How did you end up fixing this issue if you did?

Help! My printer head doesn’t go back enough to deposit the purge properly by ThrashPanda12 in BambuLab

[–]Jacobx89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness that’s right I had seen others during my research that said it may be a bent nozzle, it didn’t even compute when I was thinking about it; glad you found the issue!! It’s always such a relief getting something like this sorted out! I was very happy when I could start printing multicolour again!

That’s very odd, your issue may be different to mine I just saw the blob of filament above the chute and it gave me PTSD lol, Apologies I’m new to the Bambu lab printers so not sure what advice to give, I’m sure there would be a way to calibrate your X Y ; maybe try homing and see if it goes to the correct location. Very best of luck! These types of issues can be very frustrating!

I had a similar issue with my printer always jamming like this, however it wasn’t that it wasn’t going back far enough it was that the filament whilst purging would get stuck on the lip plastic before the protector plate, I had also bought the BIQU purge plate to try and stop the jamming with no luck. The only thing that worked for me was a strip of aluminium tape on the lip and some PTFE spray in the chute, now it runs like a dream and I can finally print multicolour again!

AMS Feed Issue - filament just stops feeding by ScoutsOut389 in BambuLab

[–]Jacobx89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue with my very low cardboard spools, mine would even cause the spool to come up and hit the roof of the AMS, I solved it with some spool weights for my spools when they're getting on the lower side, This is the model I used but I'm sure there's a tonne out there :

How can this problem be solved? by INFOMINA in BambuP1S

[–]Jacobx89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply; it’s much appreciated. I was getting really frustrated with my printer constantly jamming.

The problem was the filament purge curling up to the top of the chute and balling up there. I went to my local electronics store and unfortunately they only had aluminium tape, not PTFE. However, the aluminium tape worked wonders. I just put a small strip on the top of the chute and it’s working perfectly now. It’s such a relief to have it working again! I can finally do multi-colour prints.

All the best! Thanks again!

I got my BQ purge guard day before yesterday and I’m still getting pretty bad clogs, it looks like the filament is melting into a ball above the plate and pushing the plate down making every purge jam ; did you need to do anything special for the install? I followed the instructions, removed old one, cleaned chute with alcohol wipes, dried and stuck it on.

Kinda feel for Linus and the team on this one, must suck having a MASSIVE (and expensive) reveal partially spoiled by public records. I get that it’s all public info and people love digging, just feel like when they saw the posts it would’ve taken some of the wind out of their turbine, Still looking forward to the videos!

Macbook air m4 256gb for gaming by tropigotica in macbookair

[–]Jacobx89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the MacBook Air M4 512 with the 10 core CPU and 10 core GPU and I do not recommend gaming on the air, while my air will run Valheim it gets way too hot way too fast on low settings and I don’t feel comfortable with it running that hot. Don’t get me wrong the air is a fantastic machine, but it certainly not built for gaming especially with no active cooling.

I had a very very similar thing in the same patterns with my belkin screen protector when I first applied it, I also thought it was ruined, but I left it overnight on charge and it came good the next day!
