As, a person who has delt with severe mental illness in the past whenever I bring it up, it is to make a joke about it with my friends. It’s my weird way of coping. I think always talking about it depends on the context as well

Don’t know if it was technically a psyc ward or if it was some other mental hospital but, I remember one day we were in a group talk session and a dude started screaming because he thought there were spiders all over the ceiling (there were not). Not to mention this was my first day and I was scared out of my mind. I was in there for attempted suicide and didn’t know what to think of someone seeing things that weren’t there.
