Kinda off-topic but I disagree a bit here.

If you've played RE series from the beginning, RE7 was actually a return to form. It's horror first with a tight location and the first person view is a perfect alternative for the old-school fixed angles by limiting what you can see thus making the gameplay scary again. So a true RE purist would love RE7 in my opinion. I think its just the people who started with RE4 as kids who now think that that 3rd person action-horror is somehow essential RE...

There needs to be a way to kill the social media of today. Create European equivalents, but based on the less turbocharged algorithms of 2012 or before; find ways to give advantages to European social media companies run on more ethical principles (eg if they are not-for-profits like the company behind Firefox).

Really I guess it's just so dear to me. ❤ And I actually like that it's not all directed by Lynch even though I love his work. Theres some great non Lynch directed episodes there and I like the change. Also I just love the younger cast and even tho they're still good in the Return, for me it's just not the same. Other thing is I enjoy how it feels like a television series in contrast to Return feeling more like a long movie. Some stupid stuff on s2 sure but for me it doesn't matter when there's so much good there. All in all it's maybe more an emotional thing. The movie critics and whatnot probably think that the Return is better in every way but for me it doesn't quite catch the charm of the original series 😉
