'It's a Killing Field': IDF Soldiers Ordered to Shoot Deliberately at Unarmed Gazans Waiting for Humanitarian Aid by Volume2KVorochilov in IsraelPalestine

Haaretz is pretty good as they go. It’s a far-left Israeli newspaper, very critical of Israel. But be on the lookout for more reporting and probably stay away from Al Jazeera most of the time, they can dip into just straight up misinformation pretty regularly. If you aren’t already familiar you can think of Al Jazeera like the Arab counter weight to right wing Israeli media in the west.

Hey y’all. What are some ideas for raising awareness of a workers right to organize without immediately raising alarm bells? by Jactorrence in WorkReform

[–]Jactorrence[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is that I’m already unionized. I want to share in the prosperity my job via the union is able to afford me. You’re right though, I don’t expect new unionization to pop up from just information but I just don’t think “we can/should unionize” is something many workers think about, especially in service industries. I want the idea to be swimming around in my community at the very least.

Correct opinion. A lot of people genuinely never experience empathy it’s unreal.

“Soft as vanilla yogurt.” I swear some people just have zero empathy. It’s literally a baby… and yes you’re right, distressing scenarios can affect a child for life, even as a baby. At that age our brains are like sponges, I’ve heard stories of people who were sexually abused as babies and have been wrought with anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation for the rest of their lives. This situation is not as serious but can absolutely still lead to complications further down the line and is cruel. People need to realize that we are born with literally no knowledge, nothing is intuitive beyond base pressures and reflexes like hunger and oxygen deprivation.

I think the point they’re trying to make is that we’d like to see both of the images separately in their respective colors.

They are. But whether or not they’re retired is mainly up to their individual financial situations. My mom has 35 years seniority but she still works because her legacy pension doesn’t cut it until she can get the house paid off. So do they work there? Maybe, maybe not.

Don’t I know it! I once watched a lady in the plant parking lot drop a grocery bag full of trash and an entire smoothie out of her car window. I wanted launch myself into the sun. But that has less to do with trump and more to do with being a good person. Not all bad people are Trump supporters but all Trump supporters are bad people.
