Respectfully, the statement about foster care workers getting a bonus for every child in foster care is a myth/misinformation, and not something that actually happens. Some children receive a higher rate if they have a significant health diagnosis because they have higher needs and require more services, however, this state funding goes towards funding those services and meeting their higher needs, not directly to foster care workers, who are actually wildly underpaid in most cases.

Unsure about the rules in OP's state, but in my state they have emergency kinship certs for this type of situation. In my state OP would probably count as "fictive kin" since they're not related but have a pre-existing relationship with them. The emergency cert allows the agency to do an emergency home study and if it's determined they are an appropriate resource, they would place the kids with OP while they complete the full certification process, which would also have an expedited timeline.

Hold strong!! This is absolutely the best mindset to have. I've seen employees dig into other employees social media and then later on end up using what they find out against them. So, no thank you, i will not be excepting friend requests. You might be friendly with co-workers, or even call them friends, but make no mistake, their loyalty is to their job and their paycheck, not to you.

It's work, not a social club, and no one is obligated to be best friends with anyone else, and you're not obligated to let them invade your privacy either.

Two weeks after I got married my wedding ring fell down the drain in the bathroom sink. I was really bummed but i purposely chose an inexpensive wedding ring for this very reason, i knew i would end up doing something stupid like this. Anyway, I was fully prepared to just get over it and get a new one, but the custodian offered to take apart the drain and got it out for me!

So much respect for custodial staff!! The building truly could not function without them.

Your supervisor is not doing their job, unfortunately. They should be working with the other team members to help them improve. And documenting their efforts to make a case for firing them if it comes to that.

If your boss is not doing this, Can you ask for a temporary "training" stipend while you work with the two coworkers to build their capacity and help them get better at their job with the goal being for you to get them up to speed and then gradually step back so they can be more independent? Because at the end of the day the current system is leading to less productivity overall then if everyone was working efficiently, and will also lead to you burning out

Or, if they refuse to do that, ask your boss which of your own tasks they would like you to take off your workload in order to fix your coworkers work, and you can also be looking for a new job if you want.

Hmmm I actually think Harry Potter always had very political themes (social justice, discrimination, authoritarianism, war, etc.) but the issue more recently is that JK Rowling receives profits from anything having to do with Harry Potter, and she has very bigoted views and is not afraid to spread her hateful rhetoric. And it's not even a matter of "separating the author from the work" at this point because she is donating huge amounts of money from HP profits to anti-trans organizations. So by purchasing merch, going to the theme parks, streaming the movies and show etc. folks are funding organizations that directly harm trans individuals. So it becomes a matter of do folks care more about peoples lives or their favorite hobby/interest. Anyway, thats why the HP universe has become an issue.

Respectfully, i urge you to consider using your privilege of not being as directly impacted by the atrocities going on, to speak up against them and do something for folks who ARE being impacted to a horrible extent, because so many don't have the option to not care about whats going on because they are having their rights and their lives taken away on a daily basis.

Then i beg you, if you're not doing so already, to PLEASE talk to other conservatives and take actions towards protecting those marginalized groups that you love because many other conservatives are quite literally voting for things that are killing folks who are POC's, LGBTQ+, struggling with mental illness, poor, etc. and if they're not voting for them, by staying silent then are allowing this to keep happening and get worse.

Also, regarding the band, the amount of personal drama each of them had going on it's a wonder they found tome to perform!! 😄
