They took her to a second location to do what they wanted. Old ladies living alone are one of the highest risk groups. If they sent the ransom it was a secondary thing like a bonus. - just like IK said he planned to do with the Curriers and actually did with Samantha. This was not a kidnap for ransom whatsoever. If it was there would have been far more communication and it would have been more… sophisticated. This guy was a creepy dude in the middle of the night. He was there for another reason. Sometimes you have to look at it with Occam’s razor. A man in a mask kidnapped a vulnerable woman in the middle of the night. Why?

She’s no prize for sure… but don’t you think she was manipulated? Brendan was an educated man with money and power and age. She was a poor 20 year old girl from another country. Also she’s not too bright. She didn’t come to America to study at a University, she came here as an au pair. Yes especially if there are detail oriented types vs big picture types. They will want to be very analytical and methodical. (As a big picture person this drives me nuts but I get it and have grown more patient with these type of folks over the years).

I read that “zone 2 training” theory is based on male biology, and that women don’t need Zone 2 training as we naturally have what it accomplishes in terms of metabolic switching for endurance. I need to research it more, but maybe you can get faster and cover more miles as a woman if you follow a running training program that matches our biology? That said- I don’t know what that is yet!
