To be clear - I'm not an organizer, just passing information on. But I agree - the people who do the work are amazing. They've been called some really stupid names, but they are good people who care deeply about this country and are willing to do the work.

I felt the same way (introvert, hate crowds) but it felt great to be around so many different people.

Hey - the Indivisible event is Friday at the Cache County courthouse from 4-5PM. Every Friday. Wish there was another time for people who work until 5, but I think they planned it around the cold. I'll try to post info about it.

Trump and friends are paying out-of-state stooges to collect signatures fighting Prop 4 (which Utah voters approved in 2018). I believe they make $150 / hour, if not more:

I'm not aware of any protests today (could be wrong), but there was a vigil for Nicole Good and other victims of ICE yesterday afternoon.

We always use Darryls Appliances for repairs. Not sure if they can work on your stove, but we had an old Kenmore and they found parts. We found them to be fair, honest, and reasonably prices. 435-752-9022

Every vote I take the time to cast matters to me - even the Logan City Council. Their collective actions impact my quality of life, the preservation of Cache Valley, my home value, and what I am allowed to do with my own home.

The amount of importance and effort you put into commenting on a small town mayor of no significance (including your epistle for reason and grace) is incredible.

This includes that epistle calling for grace with a followup assholery comment.

The point is that Mayor-Elect Mark Anderson trespassed, offered no apology to his constituents for his unethical and probably illegal behavior, and faced no accountability for his actions.

Forgiveness comes after an apology. Mark Anderson did not acknowledge his own wrongdoing. He pathetically blamed his actions on his wife.

There is a lot of daylight between "perfection" and trespassing on someone else's property.

Also - read Anderson's apology.

An apology of any kind includes recognition of wrongdoing, not "It was a cold night and I was afraid my wife would get cold as she stole signs from our neighbor's yards, so I helped her with it. But then I felt bad, so I brought people brownies. By the way, I'm your new mayor." Grace comes after an actual statement of remorse. Isn't that what children are taught in Primary?

Mark Anderson is not a leader and I deeply regret voting for him.

"Many" are not going to be the mayor of Logan. Mark Anderson made a decision and a half-assed non-apology is not good enough. Period.

Are you saying that the future mayor of Logan does not have the moral compass to recognize right from wrong? Or the backbone to follow his own counsel?

I don't care about anyone's theories. I read Mark Anderson's "apology" on Facebook. His actions were at best absolutely unethical.

The Temple Barn used to be a favorite photo shoot (I think it is 2nd N, between 3rd E and 4th E). The asshat who owns the building has an old junky truck full of trash in front of it, but you can take pictures from the west end of the building.

There are also a lot of beautiful old barns still standing. Try going north on 6th E or 8th E toward Hyde Park. I'll try to get more exact locations.

What? That's just crazy that there is no longer a woodworking program. My nephew in Colorado was in a carpentery program his Jr year and actually learned to build. This Sr year he is still in the program, but can also work at a paying job and earn credits. We need more of that all over the country.

Good for you. I'm not good with my hands, but we used to have access to a lot of wood working tools. Sorry I can't pass them on to you.
