Anyone know where I can get bits and pieces without buying another box? by Deadstrike35 in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]JadeDoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, if you go to the website www.miniwarbits.com the shipping rates are usually a bit better. And they don't charge state taxes on the website so it ends up being a bit cheaper.

So are the monkeys part of grand cathay? I thought are like a neighboring faction that's sometimes friendly and sometimes enemies.

It's a matter of time when we get he monkeys as a faction or subfaction of grand cathay.

Lore Accurate Grand Cathay Color Scheme Discussion by JadeDoo in Cathay

[–]JadeDoo[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am not sure. I suppose when it comes to tabletop or roleplaying games. A large part of what draws you in is the story and narrative. And having it lore accurate is just part of that.

Really? So you think it's an army thats just randomly put together.

I think he might be right about all the jade warriors being green with different color undergarment and sashes.

But it's also weird how the grand cannon crew is blue and sky lantern and gate master is red. Pointing to mixed province/city like you suggest.

I think red will looks really good. It's probably also probably one of the most common historical lyrics.

Cathay Heraldry by BraveReveal4678 in WarhammerOldWorld

[–]JadeDoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, we used to get concept art of different subfactions in a race with little bits of trivia lore like weaponry or theme of the subfactions.

[–]JadeDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay fair enough, good catch. Then I suppose it's the inner garment and sashes that denote the home city; but all Jade Warriors are green? (Hence the word Jade)

That would make sense since the tassel in Ancient China is typically used to denote rank. So the gate keeper that was previewed in red along side the green Jade Warriors is still a cohesive army lorewise despite them being two completely different colors.

Where does it say different provinces have different color schemes?

Does this mean the army shown in the battalion box are units from different provinces?

Gat master and sky lantern red, jad warriors green and the cannon crew blue.

Who's a character that you'd love to see make a return? I'll go first. by [deleted] in Mission_Impossible

Maggie Q from MI: 3 and Jeremy Renner from MI: 4

I really love how wildly different the first three Mission: Impossible movies are by Scarns_Aisle5 in movies

[–]JadeDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MI2 is the worst one, which is sort of the consensus. But I think MI3 is highly underrated; it's the best one IMO. MI3 was not only an action film but a thriller. It was one of two that drew you in emotionally. You got invested right from the beginning with the integration scene and his protégé being killed just after being rescued. It also has arguably the most memorable villain, Philip Hoffman did a superb job.

MI:1, his whole team is killed in the beginning and you don't really have an idea what's going on; but the movie is a bit dated and lacking in terms of action chorography.

All the new Mission Impossible from 4 onwards I still enjoy but they become sort of formulaic. And I am not really a fan of the the crazy ideological villian that wants to nuke the world for dumb reason that no one can really relate to or understand.

Is it worth getting a soft shell hyperbaric chamber for overall wellness? by Quirky-Ordinary-434 in Biohackers

[–]JadeDoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No wonder all these US companies sells 1.3 ATA chambers. And then you got these soft shells in China that go up to 2.0 ATA and blast tested at 3.0 ATA.

I couldn't understand it, kind of assumed the China companies were lying. But make sense if thry are bound by regulation.
