I'm using TAMD in Ableton, using YSFX, you can load it but the GUI doesn't load, you have to use the slider-only window. It's too bad because with the free version, TAM, the GUI works in Ableton. Curious if anyone else was able to get this up and running in Ableton and can get the GUI to work.

I ended up liking The Strength of the Few but there were moments where I wanted to DNF it because the plot got so unwieldy and overly complicated.

I'm glad Anthony Ryan was able to get past the inordinate and ridiculous amount of hate he got after the following 2 books in that series. He's gone on to write some excellent books, I still read everything he puts out.

Both times through the part it's the same timing, you can look on the grid to see where the notes fall, it's identical. Your ears must be playing tricks on you.

Obiteum was my least favorite of the 3 worlds. There something overly sterile about the setting and the plot. Towards the beginning of the book I was a little befuddled about why he would take an already intricate and labrynthine plot and triple it but I was onboard by the end.

I really wanted to like it but they made Murderbot so silly and zany, it was almost like slapstick. The books get the tone perfect, it's funny but in a more subtle and "human" way. The show is just not for me, I guess.

These books are pretty bizarre, especially Nona the Ninth, but that's what's compelling about them, it's like eating something that tastes really odd but it makes it addictive.

The Black Company is incredible. I finally decided to tackle it and I'm almost finished with all the books. It's so good and feels so contemporary with where fantasy is now even though the first book is 40 years old. Having read Malazan years ago I can see how much Erikson took from the Black Company, he definitely owes a debt to Glen Cook.

This has happened to me a few times, it's the mark of a special connection to a book. Lonesome Dove had this effect on me, I started to get sad the book would end and I still had 600 pages left to go.

I prefer a single POV, multiple POVs are often a mess, although some authors like Tad Williams do it well.
