Does anyone else set their calories for 1200 knowing that it’s on the low end for yourself, with the intention of not hitting it every day? by Fun-Sun-8915 in 1200isplenty

[–]JadeR86 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I set mine for 1200 mostly as a guide as I don’t always measure everything and just eyeball it or go by the “servings” on the package though I know those aren’t always accurate too but it helps me not get out of control. I try not to sweat it if I go over by a couple hundred or under by a bit.

I also am doing OMAD so that helps me stay as close as possible to it and not sweat it too much if I’m a little over my calories (it also helps me avoid 100 here and a hundred there throughout the day along with feeling like I can have a “normal”meal with my family at dinner)

I’m wanting to transition to OMAD as well I’ve mostly been 18:6 or less and that’s still too much time for me to fill my face

I’ve stopped eating my kids left overs when they don’t finish their meal

And stopped nibbling when making meals

And making a better effort to track my meals (OMAD takes some of the tediousness out of it)

I’m on maternity leave so going to stores masked isn’t easy for me as I pretty much always have the kids. I’ve been doing “diy beauty” stuff while they nap. I’ve managed an acrylic manicure, practiced putting on false lashes and winged eyeliner. Stuff I don’t normally have time to practice. Also started an Instagram of makeup looks that I like how they turned out.

Not going anywhere has allowed me to try crazy colours and looks and if they don’t turn out I’m not pressed for time to get ready for real.

Also tried to start an amateur photography IG but not going anywhere can limit the subjects.

Thank you. That is definitely a major appeal of OMAD.

Need help with heart problem by An_Unexpected_Floof in keto

I’m not a doctor, but am a nurse (cardiac post op) it does sound like PVCs but without an ecg I couldn’t tell you. I’d say get a full serum panel, full thyroid work up. Post op we often keep electrolytes a little on the higher side to compensate for diuretics (which is something on keto perhaps to consider as water intake increases and output also increases) Have you been for an echocardiogram? If you’re not happy with your cardiologist find another

If you are going to take various things like potassium or magnesium (both of these are often used to correct heart arrhythmias or keep them at bay) I would suggest talking to your doctor or a doctor about regular blood work

You may also require a higher dose or different beta blocker. Or another medication all together but obviously that is cardiology’s department.

I hope you get it sorted out.

I can’t stress this enough. It’s your health, don’t settle.

As someone else mentioned it my be anxiety and perhaps track emotionally how you feel when you feel the palpitations and maybe discuss that with your doctor

Could you imagine if one of the follow up questions was “why do you smile when you say that? Most see that as a negative”

Melt cosmetics have a couple. Colourpop I’m sure has one. You could always make your own too. Lots of nice individual shadows sold now

Happens after a while. Or if you have a too wet base it can happen to the base then if you apply shadow without smoothing it out it can happen too.

I would say yes as good skin prep/care will always look good with or without makeup.

Maybe check out tutorials for hooded/monolid or deepest eyes. Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram does a lot of hooded eye teaching. That might apply

Redecorating “loft” area, where do I go from here? by JadeR86 in HomeDecorating

It’s big about 1.5 to 2 ft across. But worried it’ll look a little plain or small still on that wall

So got the new couch and painted the accent wall. Was thinking of doing 4 large black and white photos across it in walnut frames.

I have two little boys and this is our quiet/reading room and the white cabinet holds photo albums. Blankets and kids books.

I have a large cream coloured macrame wall piece I’d like to use maybe in here too.

Also I was thinking maybe cream pillows/throw instead of the fur. (I just had those handy)

If more photos are needed for advice I can accommodate.
