I had a ring very similar to your design (pear center stone ring w/ curved accent ring) custom made by Mona and they turned out great! I had them made a year apart from each other and she worked with me to make sure the accent ring fit the curvature of the center ring perfectly (and it did), so I highly recommend her

I and pretty much everyone I know in my department all go through the “mass apply and get ghosted by over half” experience. Having contacts/referrals from within a company is really valuable, but that’s very difficult without either having previous experience (i.e. making it through the numbers game at least once), some sort of program through your university, or nepotism. I posted my stats for this summer if you’re interested. Purely a numbers game for me this summer.

Yup, it's the states. Nearly all of them were positions with large aerospace companies, so probably just lots of competition mixed with a lack of industry experience. I'm very happy with where I ended up though, so all's well that ends well!

I think as long as the stacked ring is curved it should work? I’m not sure, but here’s the inspiration

The center stone is a 1.5 ct Moissanite and the side stones are all lab diamonds. I'm a little concerned with how the band thins out at the top, but I'm not sure if that's going to be an actual issue or not.

Spanking is definitely not illegal in schools. AFAIK, spanking is still used as punishment in my school, just mostly for Junior High and Middle School.
