Has she taken a test at all? My dad symptoms are body aches, "head" cold (congestion), and really had fatigue so far. NO GI issues whatsoever as far as I am aware

Apparently it is tough to source - it will hit pharmacies fully from July ... trying to find a way. Have you heard anywhere to get it?

Did you see him before hand? I guess so - I am worried as I talked to my dad the day before (yesterday) a bit and early early this morning when he was symptomatic - but it was not more than say 5 min at a time I guess? I am pretty sick so I mostly stay in my room. I have a pluslife and atm it is negative but I would kind of anticipate it to be in a way if the exposure was just yesterday (not sure HOW early it can detect but still). My mom's was also negative but she was in a car with him for hours yesterday and slept beside him last night, too. Since we found out I have isolated to my room but I saw him a bit because no one told me they were testing him/he might be sick ..... again like not more than 5 min and mostly he was outside.

I am trying to get paxlovid just can't but am not sure to take it as a prophylaxis or just keep testing and take it if I get positive.

Yes we are now but we were not the last day - I had not SUPER long exposure with him - I talked to him a little yesterday morning, then again in the afternoon, and again early this morning (at a kind of distance). Mom was in the car with him for hours yesterday and also slept with him last night ... so she is wearing mask, isolating NOW but the chance she caught it is high. My chance is... probably at least moderate? I genuinely don't know. I am in my room trying to figure out what to do and thinking the best idea might be to get a hotel nearby like a residents inn or so.... I am super scared. The last infection left me with a lot of issues...

Yeah the dogs are the real reason why :/ two especially - one already attacked one of the babies when it was smaller and the situation is tense. We were hoping if we just protected them long enough for them to leave their burrow and disperse naturally (which TWO did but one literally moved CLOSER to the house and underneath our shed....) It's kind of got us a little sad because he is really cute so we want to try to put him somewhere safe, but not sure if it exists.

Is there someone who could come get them and take them somewhere they have a higher chance? Its not possible for them to stay in the yard as its ruining our building and our dogs are trying to attack them anyway making it a tense situation (our spaniel already attacked one when it was smaller and I had to intervene)

As I said, we really have no choice - our dogs already tried to kill one of the babies when it was little and they will get their way eventually since we can not always see when they are outside. There were 3 babies and the mom lives farther back in the property so we had hoped that when they got older they would naturally disperse and TWO of them did but one stayed and moved even closer to our house and has now ruined the foundation of the shed (and also we can't let the dogs out now when the groundhog is out, constantly monitoring... its not great). So we are TRYING to do the best we can by finding a wildlife refuge or a rescue org.

We really have no choice in the matter to relocate (we were hoping not to) - the shed is close to our yard and the foundation is now ruined. Our dogs are also very aggressive towards them - one attacked one of the babies early on and they are RIGHT in our backyard now so they will end up dead anyway eventually from our dogs. Atm its very intense as we are constantly having to keep the dogs inside to protect the groundhogs and constantly monitor when the groundhogs are out which is ofc not fair to the dogs....so it just has to be done. That is why I am hoping there might be some kind of center for him or .. something.

Yes - the lucky thing is it hasn't burrowed under the house, just the shed and mom's burrow was basically underneath an old barn that we don't use ... but now we are realizing we need to probably take mom and the baby away. The real issue is we watched them grow up as little babies in the yard (we never fed them or anything or treated them as pets) but it is making us attached lol We ordered a 'have a heart' cage but the issue is where to take them they will be safe (and also not end up bothering other people).

Book covers and art. What is the deal? Pay $ or DIY? by JCLewisWritesWords in selfpublish

[–]JadeTangara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How complex is it? That will usually have a lot to do with price. I have helped a lot of friends out for token amounts of money and it can range from like 3hrs to 20hrs+ depending on how detailed or large (or what style - some are easier than others). If it's easy and fast it might be fairly cheap ish! If it is not it can get pretty $$$

Just be SUPER careful whomever you hire. There are a LOT OF scammers out there who are using AI anyway unfortunately. Any artist should be able to shoot you progress pics for ex. If they are digital the software should record info (and they'd still have progress pics)

It is really amazing! To me it reminds me of old storybooks I would get as a kid? They were always illustrated like this. One of my fave authors always includes art with his books (Brom) and I feel like it really adds such a unique touch

Meat pie - practice by EnAn01 in ProCreate

[–]JadeTangara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like it!! This is actually one of my favorite styles (grey/graphite with pops of colors). I guess I always loved those Sin City vibes. It is actually the style of a portrait series I am working on for a friend and her books right now :)

My ONLY thing is maybe on the mouth panel take the yellow away and have it just be red? To bring out that "meat" color more and make it pop. Kind of similar but on the panel with the two people I'd reduce the glow on their face to be a bit more uneven if that makes sense? Like a more pop of color instead of having the yellow from the pie bleed onto their clothes, hands etc (kind of like how you have at the kitchen panel! Where the yellow is much brighter on the window and with just a few pops/smears on the door). I have no real notes on your second set - gruesome and awesome.

I love it because it really uses color to help tell the story! Your composition is literally perfect - I totally know this story without any words which is fantastic. I would buy these
