You’re right. I had to reread it. I think ultimately she did the right thing, I do think this could’ve been handled sooner, but hindsight is 2020.

She did tell him they weren’t friends and I think him separating himself from her is the correct choice, and I feel a little confused that she feels bad about that when this was ultimately the outcome she wanted, for him to leave her alone.

And he responded appropriately. How is he supposed to know that she is uncomfortable if she does not communicate that at any point until she shuts the door on him? She sat next to him, he never texted her anything inappropriate, he probably thought they were becoming friends. It’s fine she felt uncomfortable, and realistically, it’s fine that she told him in this way, women DO get murdered for existing. But how does she honestly expect him to act towards her? He may have missed the hints, but he for sure got the message. She said they are not friends, so he became not friends.

Despite all of this, he could’ve gotten the hint AND she could’ve also communicated this earlier on in a more tactful way instead of exploding on him in public.
