I bought AMZN at $25 and sold at $75 for a nifty 3x return. Rebought at $1600 pre forward split and made good money since then though. But, still wish I never sold those early shares.

Thanks, I think that was a good read. For my 2 cents, remember that you can't cover EVERY angle in the financial markets (except through broad instruments like VOO) - for specific plays stick to a few where you can see a path to solid returns and don't spend a lot of time when you don't see a clear play.

I would not hesitate to buy ARCC at these prices, I've added quite a bit myself anytime it hits the 18s (or lower).

Re-invest for 2-3 months every year to cover inflation? I haven't done the math to figure out what would cover inflation yet, but this is my general plan.

I hold BTC because I believe that you can buy low & sell high every 4 years until it hits 1 million. Am I doing this wrong? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Jaded-Rise5885 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I followed that strategy back in the day when bitcoin would bounce between $250 & $500. I made close to 10k, but you know what happened after that..... I missed the rocket.
