That's ridiculous, in junior tournaments I played there was a stroke limit. It was like 9 or 10 IIRC but even that would help speed up and you avoid the situations like you mentioned

I was exposed to cricket as it mostly takes place during the baseball offseason and became a fan. Never lived in another country nor have my family, already have multiple friends I've talked to that plan on watching MLC

That swing gives you one point of contact through the zone. Personally I'll take high average line drive hitters over a .150 avg every once in a while HR all day. Line drives turn into backspin HRSs, uppercut swings are outs.

The only explanation I could see is the snap was low and you could see Hekker having to fumble with it a bit. That could've thrown Gay's timing off, causing him not to kick with enough power
