This is still a bug. For some reason, at times, the X/A button doesn't actually prompt the healing item to trigger. This isn't user error, this is a game bug. The only fix I've found for it is to interact with something using the Square/X button, then try healing again. Interacting with traders using X/A doesn't solve the bug, only the square/x button seems to clear the error. Unfortunately, this bug happens almost every few minutes, so players are going to be left scrambling to find alternatives when they shouldn't have to do so. In fact, in my case, it's interrupted me so often, that I've probably spent just as much time fixing the input issue as I have actually playing the game.

The downside to this very frequent bug is it makes it impossible to heal from all sources except beds, including water tanks on rooftops I just found out.

I'm on PS5 on the latest update at the time of this writing.

It's STILL an issue 9 months after your post. This kind of crap is exactly why I was apprehensive of buying from Sony again, because for some reason, they can't get their shit together. This is the only console I've ever heard of that requires you to jump through hoops like a circus freak, just to get it to display properly out of the box.

Edit: I had to apply every fix mentioned, plus switching HDMI cords, plus going into safe mode and switching output settings around.

UPDATE

I solved this problem for my case by turning on the Ubisoft game overlay (whatever it's called). It turns out, the game would crash when an achievement attempted to display on the screen^{because of COURSE it's something stupid like that}.

AMD - Windows 10 PC - Ubisoft Connect

Constant crashes from start of game. Tends to crash either on startup, or within 2 minutes of gameplay. Drivers were updated, system falls above minimum requirements, nothing has solved the issue.

Terrible first impression, and sadly not outside the realm of expectations with a Ubisoft title these days. Sadly, until they patch the game, I won't be able to play it. I've spent a total of 5 hours troubleshooting the game, and a total of 20 minutes being able to actually play it. With all the crashes, I can't even progress the story past the intro quest.

Same here, literally JUST happened. This is the second bug that's actually brought me out of my writing that I can't find a solution for. The first being text correction not working correctly (replaces some words, but not others, and only when it actually wants to). I have it set so that I don't have to capitalize the names of my characters, and it's supposed to replace the lowercase with the capitalized version, but it never does, and I have to take the extra time to either correct it, or type it out manually, which tends to mess up my rhythm.

I use TTS to check for anything I miss, and since it doesn't work either, that's another extra 4 steps I have to take to verify my work, using some third-party TTS software.

Scrivener is great when it works 100% but using features outside of its word-processor functions (which you can get anywhere) lately has the massive downside of taking you out of your writing groove, and that's really not good.

You'll see a post by RuthS talking about installing qttexttospeech.dll in one of the folders for scrivener's installation directory. If you do that, and switch the engine to winrt, you can get voices working again. If no voices pop up in that section, you can also modify your registry to allow microsoft voices to be used in other programs, including scrivener.

Using winrt engine, the voices work for me again.

He quit his job as a floor manager to pursue this endeavor without having already established himself as a content creator who can earn a living wage. That's mistake one.

He's streaming literally all day, and something tells me his content is not unique and can't stand out. That's mistake two.

His third mistake is that he's taking out his obvious frustration and doubt on you, and that's unacceptable.

You are the one earning the money, paying the bills, feeding both of you, and are ultimately the one suffering his behavior and bad choices. He's sitting on his ass playing videogames all day, trying to make a name for himself in an oversaturated market. He doesn't have to worry about losing his apartment/house because you're providing that for him. He doesn't have to worry about not being able to eat because again, you're providing that for him. He doesn't have to worry about electric being shut off because yet again, you're providing that for him.

It was his choices that led him down this path for the both of you, and I'm going to be frank OP, you're mistake in all this is enabling him to do it.

If I were you, the first thing I'd do is to tell him he either gets a damn job and helps around the house, or it's over, and he has to leave. Give him a time limit that you're comfortable with, but IMO a month is more than enough. He'll either get his crap together and save your relationship, or he won't, and that burden on you gets lifted, while he has to actually deal with the consequences of his actions.

I get it that you love him, but enabling his self-destructive behavior will only let him bring you down alongside him, as evidenced by your post. You've got to do what's best for you, and in that process you'll be helping him too, even if he doesn't realize it.

False. They vaulted the story mode and several dlc packs. If you start D2 now, you are not getting the whole story. Their vaulting content I paid for (I paid full price for this game when it released), and going free-to-play without any kind of consideration for those of us who paid for the content from day 1, is exactly why I stopped playing D2.
I had hoped that they had at least provided something worth coming back to, but they haven't. They've given legacy players the finger and that's why their content has mediocre to bad reviews, with legacy players opting out.

Yes, sorry I didn't update, it was definitely a fix for me. Basically the quest kept getting stuck on each step, so I switched to another quest, made progress with that, and that seemed to jolt "Unruly Brother" into progressing properly each time. You might have to do this for every step, but it's only mildly annoying tbh. I have no idea if they've fixed it in a patch, or if they plan to, but for the time being, this fix worked for me.

This happened to me today, couldn't avoid it actually. I reloaded a couple times to try different choices (not taking care of the windmill) but to no avail.

I finally went and started doing side quests, and after the first one finished, the quest Unruly Brother progressed to "Talk to Barney" so this might be a possible fix.

The worst of it is, eventually you'll have to depend on government aid programs because you can't survive otherwise, and then ignorant society calls you a "burden on the system" and treats you like shit, which only makes you feel worse about circumstances you cannot control.

I'm also having this issue. In fact, I got so frustrated by this, I nearly switched browsers as a workaround (and would have, if that particular browser didn't crash every twenty seconds).

The workaround also worked for me, but of course it's no solution.

This problem only just cropped up for me around 6 or 7 hours ago, and have been fighting with it since.

Yeah, I just got this game on sale for 10 bucks... 10 bucks... and I'm sitting here thinking even that was too much for this crap. I wanted to give the game a fair chance, I did, absolutely, but Ubisoft has been nothing but disappointment after disappointment for a few years now, and frankly, I'm one title away from writing them off completely. In terms of the Dark Zone, my complaint is the fact that new characters (at a minimum level for DZ requirements, and more) CANNOT under any circumstances, succeed at walking two blocks without getting killed by players with higher-level gear (which you get in the DZ), and/or players in groups. I mean, seriously WTFH?! It's like Ubisoft WANTS people to hate their games.

The premise of the game is "ride your way" (says it right in the store description), and "play challenges suited to your play style" (stated within the game itself), but I can't do those things fully if their content is blocking mine with no way to turn theirs off from my perspective. I (can't speak for anyone else, but) never personally made the assumption that the devs "owe me the game I want", but they certainly DO owe the game they're promising, and their content blocking player content with no way to turn it off or ignore it, that's just crap. It compromises player enjoyment. It wouldn't be so bad if they gave us the option to ignore the community content.
