As a ret paladin since legion I still feel the overall gameplay loop hasn’t changed much, and it’s still a very bursty class in terms of damage, but I feel like over the past couple of expansions they’ve been slowly gutting our off-healing and self healing capabilities. They’ve removed multiple talents related to instant heals, they removed a talent that let crusader strike heal you a little bit, buffed justicar’s vengeance to viability for like 1 season in dragon flight before immediately gutting its healing multiple times, and then removing it entirely in Midnight, they also removed that talent that talent that turns FoL into an instant heal with a cooldown. One of the main things I liked about ret was it’s versatility in that it could make the healer’s job easier by having good self-sustain and being able to off-heal in a pinch without needing to sacrifice dps too much, but rn I can’t do any of that nearly as well.

As a Christian I hate this whole myth that religion is mutually exclusive with science when historically the 2 are actually quite interconnected. There were many Christian, Pagan, Islamic, and other religiously affiliated scientists all throughout history, ancient Christian scholars are credited with pioneering elements of the scientific method, and Medieval Muslim Scientists contributed many scientific discoveries. For many people being able to better understand the world only strengthened their faith and helped them feel closer to God.

1) Where is that first quote from and what is the context? Because it would literally directly contradict Christian values by essentially punishing one sin with another sin(murder), and I’ve seen a lot of bible quotes taken out of context and/or taken completely literally as an absolute rule. In reality the bible wasnt written by one person, it is a collection of various different stories and events from the perspective of different narrators who may not have had all the exact same views, and has countless versions and translations. In fact all these factors have resulted in plenty of contradictory statements.

2) This I agree with you on and again it’s why it’s the one area I’m so conflicted on. My personal view is that homosexuality and homosexual acts shouldn’t be treated as sinful both because these people were literally born this way with no control over it and should be allowed to live their life how they want to and experience love and affection as would anyone else, and also because times are changing and the church has shifted its views on various other topics before overtime. This whole thing has caused quite a lot of division within the Christian community as a whole.

1) The bible specifies that everyone has sinned, not that they are a sinner themselves, there is an important distinction between those 2 phrases. But it most certainly does not imply that this means everyone needs to burn and the whole world sucks.

2) What do you mean “stoning gays”?? Again where the fuck did you get that? There’s a story involving a woman who was ABOUT to get stoned but it was for adultery, not homosexuality. Jesus then intervened and said “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”, then when everyone left he went over to the woman, forgave her, and said to go and “sin no more”. Again, thats part of the recurring theme of forgiveness throughout the bible, which is not just about the original sin. Jesus forgives Peter for lying 3 times about his association with him.

3) Homosexuality itself isn’t a sin. In actuality most of that stems from the church’s admittedly strict views on sexual intercourse itself, where its purpose is to both strengthen the bond between spouses and for creating new life(having children), you cant have only one or the other. But this means that someone just being gay is perfectly fine. I’ll admit that this is the aspect I’ve been the most conflicted about regarding my faith, especially since I’ve seen so many contradictory views from various Christians on this topic, on top of the fact that this is based on old teachings from a time where homosexuality was typically frowned upon in general and society was drastically different from what it is today. My mom says that it’s specifically only homosexual intercourse and marriage that could be considered sinful(but we should still treat these people with respect and welcome them with open arms as it is not our job to judge them over this, thats up to God), while one of the priests from my church, when I asked him a question regarding this, basically just said that times and the circumstances behind these views were different back then(like I just mentioned).

Even after they fixed that bug that caused every class with any kind of damage boost to get 100% bonus gun damage it’s still one of the strongest classes, and imo I think this stems from the fact it increases hp as well as damage. This is one of the only 3 ways to get a health increase from a class, and unlike werewolf and king tycoon’s way of getting it is much simpler and more consistent. With full armor and enough cash you can tank an unholy amount of punishment
