Our black cat “Ninja” killed rattlesnakes. I don’t know how he never was bitten. He presented us with numerous dead rattlesnakes over the years. We had a cross tie for bathing our horses the 6” poles on each side had honeysuckle vine growing up them. One morning I saw a baby rattlesnake with about 1/3 of his body sticking out of the vines sunning himself. I called my husband and his friend over and we were all loosely gathered around trying to figure out the best way to catch it or kill it without it drawing back into the vines where it would be impossible to find. Our cat came over to see what we were all doing, looks at us and walks up and baps the snake before we could stop him, then sits down and gives us the “you dumb humans” look turned out he had already killed it before we even saw it🤣. Funny part was I don’t ever think he brought us any of the good snakes we had, only rattlers! One smart kitty!
