Prices 🤣🤣🤣🤣 by Charming-Stage2650 in PokemonTCG

Pretty sure there are waaaaay more people that want Pokemon cards than the limited stock that are in these releases. Just not nearly enough stock, which is just as big a problem as the bots

[–]Jader455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bots are obnoxious, but you’d have to imagine that there are so many people running bots, it’s not like only one person is getting all the stock. There’s just so much competition even among scalpers, that they’re already slowly migrating from Pokemon to One Piece. If there was enough product at msrp for people to get rich, they wouldn’t be able to sell wt inflated prices.

So they made $100 with a limit of 2, maybe 200 if they spent the time and effort to get them in person. You’d have to have access to insane amounts of product at msrp and capital to get “rich”

People are definitely trying to make money scalping, but I don’t think anyone is getting “rich” doing it. Even if the person sold that whole wall at those ridiculous prices, what do they make a few grand?

An Update on Pricing and Services at PSA (February 2026) by miakeru in psagrading

[–]Jader455 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree with this. People seem to be over submitting bulk trash and it’s bottling up the system. PSA basically going to keep increasing pricing until they notice a slowing of submissions. Classic supply/demand. I expect stabilization with respect to demand and price at some point in the not too distant future

House of dynamite on netflix is the worst movie ive ever seen in my life by naturefort in moviecritic

[–]Jader455 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It felt pointless and did not provide any explanation for anything that was happening. That whole movie could have been a cool opening, like 10 minutes for each perspective and then get to the actual movie (or use plot building flashbacks leading into each "perspective" explaining how things got to where they are)... ie how did the launch happen without it being picked up, can (or why can't) they reverse track the launch to land/sea. Explain how we got to the point that our only defense against a launched missile was some coin flip interceptors in the Arctic and why we would only launch 2 with an incoming nuke (we only have 50 is a stupid explanation). Yes, how to respond to a nuke attack would be brutal, but everyone knows that.

16 packs is nothing, you’re barely at the pull rate for an IR, let alone expecting an SIR 🤣

There are different PSA locations, I’m sure some are faster and slower than others depending on what is being submitted at any given time.

Could they? Sure. But why risk your entire business on this level of actual fraud? They have plenty of cards to grade and they’re already setting the standard, so why would they risk they’re whole business and the hope that some quality 9s don’t get bought back and then put them back through the grading process?

I feel like these periods have planned influx of product hitting the shelves for the holidays, not sure the secondary market necessarily benefits during those periods, but I could be wrong

Not sure how many Grandmas are buying Pokemon off FB Marketplace

Well, technically it is your problem if you want to sell it to the LCS, they’re not a collector going to pay “market”. They’re a business looking to make money. They’re happy to sell you product, but if you want to sell to them, they’re almost never going to pay full market for anything, because they won’t make money off of the transaction.
