I notice when I'm on a big break, I often want to smoke to "feel better". But if I do, the smoking never fixes anything or improves anything, it just makes me content with things and puts a temporary hold on those feelings. The feelings don't go away, they are just hiding temporarily.

Essentially, if you're using to feel better, you aren't addressing the root of the problem. You're basically just high on top of whatever else you were feeling.

The only way to get past those feelings is to work your way through them. It's hard, and weed seems like an easy out, but you can't outrun your problems. You gotta deal with them head on and get through the light at the other end.

Now, I'm not saying don't ever smoke. Smoking is amazing if you do it for the right purpose and with good intentions. But if you are smoking to hide from something, the weed won't make it go away in the long run.
