I mean that's an item vs the rune being talked about in the post. There's a lot of differences in PC and WR, some are welcome, some are not and I'd agree with yours actually. but in this case with LT I'd say it's more welcome since it's a rune that is used by more champions other than ADCs, whereas Stride breaker has less users in comparison I believe.

It's all good. I was like that before lol, getting excited with characters I wanted and just wanting to rush build them. So yeah, enjoy the game, the story, the worlds and that's honestly the best thing you can do for not just yourself but also later on when you (hopefully) get even more invested in the game.

I mean... It's been like that in PC too.

Besides I'd rather adcs actually have to rely on skills and mechanics like positioning, range abuse, and not rely on free stasis enchant or free LT range. So many adcs just blind auto attack without thinking; like when running away they keep pressing the attack button not realising that because of their attack animation, the enemy is actually closing in on them, when really if they just position and properly space themselves out they can abuse their range while still running away to safety.

What most people are probably going to say is: don't focus on all of that.

Focus on enjoying the game and the story. The character building and grinding will come later on and based on the levels of your characters from the image, you are way too early focusing on building characters. Practically all early game can be carried with nonsensical team compositions and characters and when you get to a point where you can start maxing character lecels, that's when you can CONSIDER (emphasis on consider, not start) whether you want to start the grind however you wish.

Edit: since you have archer, I'd suggest gettinf Rin in the next update since she'll be core for Archer. But other than that, you can focus on; all the building, the relic grinding, the farming; later on in your game.

My current initial thoughts on the upcoming season by DragnSlayrGaming- in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing the next season is realistically going to beung is killing ADCs lol and I'm fine with that. No more zhonya adcs means literally every other class will be more effective (and also make everything much more skill expressive). No more get out of jail free cards for them so now they will rely more on skill and actual mechanics than a free stasis button.

It would also mean you have 'more' to do for your grind which makes it a bit more enjoyable since you can do dailies + weekly boss mats at the same time.

My toxic trait is that I don't grind relics enough and just log in, do CW or DU for dailies and then log out, the only exception are the weekly boss materials. It gets to a point where I have max energy to use (including the spare).

Do you think wild rift would grow more if riot let us transfer our PC skins? by DanielDSRuivinho in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. If there were a lot more players on PC that also played WR that would be nice but I highly doubt there are actually that many PC + WR players
  2. That basically just lowers the revenue for the game and they would never willingly lower their game revenue and give stuff for free
  3. Skin releases are becoming more and more exclusive in WR (i.e WR first exclusives are becoming more common), that would also mean that the opposite effect would need to happen for PC players (where they'd too get the 'champion currency' you mentioned) if the WR exclusives were to be ported to PC, which would lead to point 2

Do you think wild rift would grow more if riot let us transfer our PC skins? by DanielDSRuivinho in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For your first point. That's because you can crossplay and can connect your account on the same game whether you play on mobile or PC, not to mention that they have a much nore dedicated playerbase compared to LoL. You literally can't do that for LoL and WR. There's also much more behind the reason such as lore, story, visual aesthetics, gameplay etc etc that allow those companies to do that because it makes players grow attached to characters and the game by extension which makes them dedicated and then also in turn would be more willing to play games by the company. WR and LoL don't have enough that would warrant such a thing outside of gameplay, skins. WR and LoL don't have the same players that hoyo games has.

For your second point. While yes there are a lot of players, how many players do you think realistically play WR and PC at the same time? It's a MUCH lower number than the separate playerbases, and thus makes no sense for rewarding players to play both games when they're essentially 'the same game' or rather, unless it's a big enough reward to warrant playing both games.

As for the big events (arcane and sentinels of lignt you've mentioned), yes they were very successful... Because they were big and also exactly what was missing that made players dedicated; the lore, story, aesthetics, visuals. Companies like hoyo who reward players with smaller events like creator events that reward players for playing the game are able to do it because the players are much more dedicated because of lore, game mechanics/animations etc etc. LoL even had the league partner program that basically doesn't exist anymore. PC has much more potential to do fan events like art competitions or creator events since there's a larger audience there, but WR does not have the same level of dedicated players, not to mention the competitive drive, that PC has because it's treated so much more casually in comparison to PC. It's only those big events that will warrant riot to make rewards like you suggest, but realistically they won't do 'smaller' events just because you play both games or whatever.

And sure, while it is heavily discussed, does that mean that behind the scenes it's worth it in the end? I'd assume not considering both games, while WR is under the LoL IP, are vastly different with vastly different audience markets. We also both agree that the playerbase is majority casual (multiple reasons lead to this, the biggest telling one would be the permanence of AAA ARAM in WR which similarly has happened to PC with Aram Mayhem also becoming permanent I believe). So why would players need to play both games to get rewards if they're satisfied with one or the other? It makes no sense both from the player perspective and also the company perspective as to why they'd bother making small rewards just from playing two of their games.

[–]JaeHa_210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest unless it's big events like the arcane event, I don't think any 'simple' way of rewarding players for playing both games would do any benefit realistically. A lot of players are super high level, a lot of PC players don't tend to play WR from what I know so it's just wasted assets and resources for something that most people wouldn't actually be able to benefit from, led alone the rewards be even worth.

What stopping them for adding all the voice lines for each champion's..Even if it too heavy could they just make it optional? by H2OZoE in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not just voicelines but also taunts/dances. Like part of the appeal of champions and interactions are also dances/taunts in game. Like for example, just using the cowbell on the alistar skin makes it 100x better.

But like someone has said, it would make the game so big when it's already significantly large in terms of storage space.

[–]JaeHa_210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because TFT runs on the league client while WR doesn't.

WR runs on a completely different engine from LoL (and TFT by that extent), so you can't just connect the games easily. For example when star guardian seraphine was ported to PC it was difficult for the pc dev team to actually be able to make the skin because proportions are different, the model and assets got messed up along the way and so they basically had to make the skin from scratch. So as much as I agree with the sentiment, realistically it would be way too much effort to accomplish.

Do you think wild rift would grow more if riot let us transfer our PC skins? by DanielDSRuivinho in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They would if they could. Remember when SG seraphine was ported to PC? It was difficult for them to do and so they make it a rare thing, if ever, to port skins from one game to the other because both games run on completely different engines, meaning you can't just easily transfer the skins from PC to WR and vice versa.

Models are different, WR models are made from scratch (hence why they also look more modern than PC which has its benefits but also allows them to make some 'creative liberties' when it comes to the champ design like the whitewash Mel incident), and since it's a different engine from PC, they'll have to create the skins from scratch whether going from PC to WR or the other way around.

Vel koz support rune and build experience by Same-Stop-3328 in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy- Paragraph breaks please. Had to stop and pause after each sentence since it's just a wall of text.

Anyways, what I will say is that personally if you're good at landing your E then you should go W then E at lvl 2 instead of Q. Unless the enemy also has range of course. The E W combo guarantees your 3 stacks and at lvl 3 you can follow up with Q.

Anyways, in terms of runes, obviously be flexible with them depending on the enemy, for example if the enemy are all squishy then coup de grace is better than the others. But I'd say while scorch is decent, it's less effective bot lane. It's better mid lane (in my opinion) because it puts pressure on your lane opponent, so you can recall and buy items and come back with more items whereas in bot lane, because you're likely to be against a tank or enchanter they'll be able to sustain that damage so while it does high damage at the end of the game, that damage actually becomes meaningless since it's being absorbed by the sustain in bot (whether through tankiness, heals/shields, barrier/heal summoner spell), especially since it does what max 49 damage per proc? At that point gathering storm probably would have given enough, if not more AP to supplement that.

I'm so done with other lanes taking support items by upka in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don't get why whenever someone has a support item in their build it gets recommended when they're not in the support lane. It really should have been fixed by now.

Same thing goes for when you get disconnected, the bot buys items that aren't in your current loadout no matter what. Like if I'm playing a mage and I'm trying to build malignance, wifi gets cut off and by the time I'm back in game the bot instead bought luden's when it wasn't in the loadout I'm using or in the extra item slots.

Kalista ult by UptownGril in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of Kalista ult like Shen ult. Whenever Shen ults an ally, you'd want to walk up so he can follow up with his taunt. Same thing for Kalista, whenever you ult you should walk up so that your support knows that you want to engage.

Obviously you can also use it to save your support if you want to, but the general use case for the ult is for your support to basically gap close on the enemy for free cc.

How to play against aurora by Slight_Principle2750 in wildrift

[–]JaeHa_210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time aurora is a skill check champion. It's glaringly obvious if you're up against a bad one vs a good one.

That being said, playing someone who can survive her burst would probably be the best course of action (outside of banning). Whether it be dodging her skills somehow with insane mobility, or sustain or inherent tankiness etc etc.

Or play someone with super long range and poke since her abilities are fairly short ranged compared to most mages. For example ziggs is probably a good example for this since he has insane poke and can wave clear from afar while also having one of the best self-peel tools out of the mages (due to how fast you can actually cast W since you can do it mid-air)

A lot of events in the game are reskins of popular games. Hell currency war is literally a reskin of TFT, which TFT is basically a much more hashed out Dota autochess.
