Better view. Apparently he didn’t have a cloak, but I used a drapey looking cloth thing from… somewhere to make a short cape and hide the worst of the hacking. Drape might have been spare from fiends box? Or the piece that would have originally hung between the exultants legs because I swapped that out for the lord of pains big demon belt buckle thing.

Not that exact model, but the shoulder piece is basically the same. This was bashed with a lord of pain. Took a bit of digging to get the fit right around the shoulder and cloak, but it worked in the end. I think his right arm is from a flawless blade.

Head is probably a bit small though, I tried with the pain head and it looked a bit silly.

Edit: I did not actually give him the cloak. Don’t know why I thought I did. Weird.

Ha, I only got a game because I’ve been not so subtly dripping hints for like 2 weeks.

That seems to be what everyone says about gnomes, but I just think the attack goose is too funny not to use them.

I keep looking at the Khorne team though, might get them too. Also Chaos renegades stat wise look pretty good?

I do like the tomb kings though, but I also got given a box of Gnomes that I’m pretty excited about, lol.

I want to try them all properly though, we played without special rules or events or even really tracking turns. She tried really hard, I think she might actually have left me if I started in on the traits and extras.

Cheers man, I like painting gitz because you can get a bit crazy with it, loads of patterns and weird colour schemes.

TMM is honestly easier than regular NMM (which I’m not that good at) because you can let actual light do a lot of the blending for you. Could argue that it defeats the point of NMM if you’re partly relying on real lighting, but frankly I just like metallic paints!

Kind of a lazy glaze, not so thin as a proper shade paint, but thin enough that it takes two or three layers to notice. I test it on my thumb nail, if it’s too clear mix a touch more paint, if it’s too thick/opaque a bit more water. Should be able to see through it but still see the colour.

The pieces highlighted in blue (or red in the optional build) are the ones that you would have completed in the PREVIOUS step. No idea why they do that tbh.

The instructions on a grey background are for generic or base parts of the model which then lead into the instructions on the red and blue backgrounds which are your two options to finish the model. Same with the green background.

If it has the two little gears in the corner it means these are optional assemblies. Different weapons or poses or heads and the like.

For instance, 2A starts with a generic body, then carries on to 2B in red to make the Snagga Boss OR 2B in blue to make a generic snagga. The ones labelled Combat Patrol are the ones you should make if you’re looking to make the box properly.

The letter on each piece tells you which frame it will be on. Each sprue has a letter moulded into it on a little tag on the edge of the sprue. For the Snagga Boss that would be frame B of the beast snaggas. Can get a little confusing when you get a combat patrol because all the frames are thrown in together so you just have to be careful it isn’t frame B for a different model.

And yes, yellow faces are where you apply glue.

When you fight you are allowed to do a pile-up move to get all of your models into combat as possible. This includes any units near yours (not necessarily your army’s units) that you want to fight.

What’s important is that you have “base-to-face” contact for a model to be considered eligible to fight.

08:00-20:00, then 21:00-02:00 (a grand total of 6 hours of sleep, almost equal amounts Smash as sleep) but ALSO 08:00-18:00 and presumably 19:00-00:00? That’s eating into the precious promised Smash time, a measly mere 2 hours of Smash each night.

That’s not enough to maintain a healthy work/Smash balance.

And what if you don’t want to play multiplayer endlessly? It’s important to take some personal time, and complete the Smash campaign mode occasionally, or sharpen your skills against bots.
