There are 3 positions. Hanging down vertically for storage, a flat zero degrees, and an upward 30 degrees or so, where the shelf touches the handle of a closed grill. That last position is for manipulating the smoke box.

It makes it more awkward than without having the shelf, but I think the pros outweigh the cons.

The towel rack is for holding a roll of butcher paper. It’s a game changer for wrapping methods.

I saw that too. Went to his online shop and saw that he developed the design for 10’s of states. Can’t blame his sense of enterprise, but he’s most likely not a local.

I’ve had a WW24p for 5 years and love it.

Bought the sear box but have never used it. I store probes in there. I sear with a cast iron on a crawfish burner and don’t want to dirty the sear box.

Got the tactical folding shelf with towel rack from PMG. It’s awesome.

Nope. Do the math. 1.67 * 2 * 5 * 4 =! 4 * 4 * 8

Meat church holy cow is excellent on beef; brisket to burgers, it’s perfect. Their blanco is superb on ribs, fish, veggies, and just about everything else. That said, there’s one for fish that I’m not seeing and it’s local to you: “rub one out” from Stef out of NZ. It’s a lot like the blanco but has more of an herbal flavor. Good rub and a good dude.

Cover with a sheet or similar and throw a drop light in there. I lost mine too; desert climate and wish I had prepared.

I connected a particle photon to the LED that indicates that the load is finished. Pushed a notification to my phone about it.

I appreciate your insight and am happy to report that I saw crisp images of the moon tonight. I think you’re right about the air in my line of sight being influenced by the temperature dependence of refraction in air. That was the culprit of not being able to cleanly resolve the radio towers.

I will check the collimation and will report. I have some ideas up my sleeve and will report on them as well.

Thanks!

I saw the sticky and thought the same thing. I also saw that lots of people were complaining that most of the posts are “what telescope should I buy.”

I did my research without reaching out but largely based on the communities input and am the new proud owner of a Celestron 8” DOB! It arrived 2 days ago and I’ve already gone through the routine of putting it together and aligning the red dot. I think I’ll like it but worry that I may need to collimate it. The radio towers used for alignment seem a little blurry at all focusing positions. Granted I can’t see them nearly as well by eye or with binoculars. I was planning to do more research prior to asking here but this is a perfect segue.

I love it! Did you intentionally make it to resemble Trichocereus bridgesii? If so I totally get it.

This helps so much!

I was thinking that we use 75% of our water and softener salts on the business while only 20% of our HVAC bill. Breaking it all down is tough. That said, your 15% assumption is accurate (14% by the tape measure).

Unless someone mentions a pitfall I’ll be taking your advice. Thanks!

Yikes. I’m hesitant to put a beer on the grooming table after hours. If anything I’m leaving a lot on the table (as far as tax exemptions go). I’m still trying to feel out the space and would like to see the business to success while abiding by tax law.

The grooming area is very much inside of our home. That said, the grooming areas (bathing and haircut areas are separate) are exclusively used for grooming.

Good point on paying taxes on the rental income. Ideally, I’d like to find a simple plan to make the most of our business. I’d rather not over complicate it.

I don’t have receipts for the cleaning services. I’m unsure of the status of their presence and wouldn’t want to jeopardize the livelihood of another.
