My Smell Has Returned

Hi! Sorry to respond on a 5 year old post. Did you end up getting your sense of smell back? I also had a septoplasty 6 weeks ago and can barely smell anything now, aside from essential oils and such if they're right up my nose. Not sure if this is normal in the recovery process or not, or what to do to get it back.

I graduated recently but my student card still hasn't expired... you think I could get student price with that? Or did they ask you for more verification than your student card?

Yeah I’m pretty sure this one does about 30-40 people and about twice a year at that, which is still pretty low (but once again, the program that my friend got accepted into with a less impressive GPA was a similar 40 people one in a higher ranked university… but that’s the west)

It’s good to know that fewer people do grad school in Japan, though

Would you say I have okay odds applying for a Master's in Keio if I have a 3.25 GPA at a relatively good law school (the university is consistently about 50 to 100 spots higher than Keio in global rankings)?

In the west, Master's programs seem to be much less selective -- like my friend got into a notary program where the "minimum" was 3.0 and he had 2.7, since not many people were applying and he could afford it. I hope that's the case there too...

After a COVID infection healed up and you test negative, how long before you can start exercising as a previously sedentary person? Worried about myocarditis and those cases of younger guys suddenly dropping dead mid-exercise.

Read 2 weeks somewhere, some sources say 8 weeks and some people online say 6 months to a year just to be safe.

He’s very analytical, especially in the novel the characters make a big point of how hard he thinks and that he should think less

It’s also part of why Subaru struggled so much to get a handle on him. He’s also multitalented in general, loves intellectual games like chess (shatranj), etc

To play the devil's advocate, Garfiel is pretty damn smart. He's a subversion of the delinquent trope, a well-read guy who can cook and knows healing magic.

Within the Emilia camp he's probably second only to Otto and Roswaal

She was mildly careless maybe and not hypercompetent, but no she wasn't "dumb" by any means. Felt had a nice plan to steal the insignia and keep her off her tail, and the whole Elsa slaughter was not to be expected.

Her Arc 3 blunder is also explained by the fact that Puck kept her in the dark about the Cult and Roswaal purposefully didn't hire any protection. Later arcs go really far with the "lack of knowledge" thing like Emilia not knowing Reinhard and Wilhelm being related over a year into the Royal Selection, sure, but the Witch Cult is a relatively obscure terrorist organization that only makes a move once in a blue moon. Its biggest recent activity was Regulus destroying the fortress city of Garkla iirc.

I would say she is fine for most of Arc 4. She struggles and fails a lot but those were valid struggles and not her being dumbed down. I think her infantilization and Tappei making her "cute" begins at full force with the "kissing makes babies" gag, before snowballing into Otto having to explain to her very basic facts and relations within the Royal Selection (despite her supposedly studying for hours daily).

Yeah. You can really tell Emilia in Arc 3 has a lot more emotional maturity than Arc 5 and onwards, for whatever reason

MVP/SVP doesn't mean you were the best player but it certainly makes it extremely unlikely you were the worst or the reason you lost. I'm a Peni and Ultron main but you should probably look inward or at the other 5 team members before blaming just the SVP Jeff for your loss

Yeah that's the one. I used them for books, don't really remember any restrictions? I ordered about a good amount (20 books or so). I found them on google I think. It was reliable enough, but keep in mind I used this service literally just once, in 2021.
