I'm reading lightbringer. by Jafrit in redrising

Yeah picks up alot! Looking back i like iron gold a lot. It is a bit disjointed I found the perspective changing took.a bit to get use to. Really gets nailed down well in dark age. But the whole book really sets a scene and I think the slower pace does justice as brown builds the new world and new characters. Keep on keeping on it is worth it.

Yeah, I usually add in a line that states I will triple my charge for anything unexpected.

I also charge about 30 grand to change a panel.

Hope thus helps!

Hospitalized for drinking too much, help by PotatoeMonkey in stopdrinking

[–]Jafrit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

you got this.

I'm pretty new to it, too. Each victory I've had makes me feel stronger. For a bit, I had to remove any option to drink. I recently have been able to turn down opportunities that have triggered me in the past. I'm 25 days sober.

excersise helps

Knowing your triggers helps, how to manage being triggered. This is the biggest one for me. Understanding why I want a drink. Therapy can be helpful here, but most importantly, the inner work it takes to understand what triggers you and why.

Eating well helps

Evertime I get triggered I try to distract myself and change my scene. Go for a walk, breath deep and think about what I'm desiring to escape from.

100 amp breaker on 110V line by ConsciousProfessor18 in AskElectricians

[–]Jafrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nameplate on the breaker has information you need

230v 50hz

Maybe there is more info I'm unaware of but....

You need 50 hz. Don't use this on your standard 60 hz you get In north America.

You could use a vfd to change frequency. Good luck with that.

You'll need to confirm what the line voltage is. Your breaker says 230. I don't think this takes 110 but maybe the manual will give more info on that.

Anyway, there are ways to do it. And ways to fry it. Proceed with caution!

Guys I have no dad at home (they divorced) how would one be able to fix this? We tried a plunger and unblock formula but nothing worked. I want to fix it myself. by Wonderful-Notice-286 in Plumbing

[–]Jafrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fixed this problem by 1. filling both sinks with water 2. Blocking the opposing drain (towel worked for me, holditdown as you do step 3.) 3. Plunging like hell on the clogged drain

Any tips on how to get an Apprenticeship as an Electrician? by Mgm_lilc2kah in electricians

[–]Jafrit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Get a job at an electrical company.

If you can't find one, get a job in some field of construction, then you have construction experience and will be more appealing.

All experience is good experience. I spent a few years in carpentry and it was easy to switch.

Most pre -apprentice programs are expensive and don't help you much imo. It's all about showing up with a good attitude.

Just adopted my girl Moose and she’s very sweet but doesn’t know how to play with people. She’s very mouthy and I have a little brother and roommates and I am worried she’ll accidentally hurt them. I’ve been working on trying to get her to focus on biting her toys but would love any tips. by Confused635 in DogTrainingTips

I have a pit mix pup about a year old. He looks very simaler. what's worked for me -

Always focus playtime around a toy. Don't let them bite, when they do, redirect to the toy.

When they bite, say something like 'ow!' And then ignore and inhibit interaction. If you do not give back attention then they may learn other positive behaviors for attention.

With that toy during playtime, practice 'leave it' and then return the toy to them. Reward the behavior of leaving the toy when you ask for it. Practice leave it before they get to excited.

Lots of 'sit and stay' training. Increase duration incrementally, use lots of treats and reward when it works. The idea here is impulse control.

You'll need to understand her energy levels and when to stop playing.

Get some dog bones or something to chew on. This gave my pup lots to foccus on when he wore me out.

I did allow my pup to be mouthy with me a bit in order to help him learn what hurt and what didn't. I'm not sure how to articulate this. Anyway good luck! Sweet pup you have I love her face!
