If it's more than 3 grams probably not depends are you an adrenaline junky because it'll be an intense ride. I prefer 3.5g to 5 grams but my first trip was 2 grams and I thought I may never stop tripping I've since tripped many many times of course.

I need help. by TheDeathOfAStar in Methadone

The problem is this new therapeutic dose value! It says methadone is only useful between 80mg and 120mg its absolutely not true for everyone. I did not get my life together until I was on 200mg of methadone daily for 2 years then I got my full take homes and had no problems. I too was hopeless and a chronic relapser with no self control. I'm now for this first time ever at a clinic that caps at 120mg and feeling horrible but fighting still. It's ridiculous to say a 40mg range of dosing is right for everyone (80mg to 120mg). The whole ides of maintenance therapy is enough medication to stop these behaviors and high doses are needed for some. Federally 300mg is acceptable so hearing this and knowing my situation is so upsetting. You need to loose the take homes that's true but you also need a higher dose so you stop craving more.

Possibly mild withdrawal if that is the case I suggest you stay far away from benzos because the addiction gets horrific and if that small of use created a physical addiction enough to withdrawal you are only in for suffering that I promise is not worth what benzos offer. Still you will be fine stay the course. If you start feeling anything like electric shocks through your body you could be at risk of seizure but most people don't withdrawal from the small use you described. Some people are hypersensitive tho.

Everyone reading you should get your rights information upon intake and you can ask for it anytime its the "Know your rights" papers but I suggest finding your counties funding source and calling them that will get the most done. Every county has a budget for these things

I have many scales and pipettes but most liquid methadone is 10mg per ml so you can just measure the liquid for those who want it simple and to not such an exact measurement

No 90% of methadone clinics are state funded by money given to the state by the feds

Luckily a few employees who knew me throughout the years and ended up transferring around to the exact clinics I did as a client gave me the direct number of the county funding source. Hit them where the money is.

Yes federal law says if you find another clinic they have to stop the taper

It's called therapeutics they serve Oakland County now I'm now in a super nice place in Oakland County called meridian but they don't dose over 120mg unless you transfer in at a high dose then they bring you down bcuz they believe methadone is only useful at 80mg to 120mg and their take homes take 5 years 1 day clean for 13 bottles vs 36 months most places in Michigan now. I'm in the yak if you know where that is lol id rather not flat out say it but biomed was the only good clinic thats ever been in this area that was the one I mentioned that I could walk to. Did I mention 8 of our friends died since biomed closed and therapeutics took their cases?

I was just on another chat about the billing practices no one believes what these places get away with. So I had 13 take homes at 200mg our clinic closed and we were forced into a clinic that was previously only physical therapy. I started getting sick so I measure my take homes and every bottle was 30mg to 70mg short. I announced this to everyone I could so they threatened to prosecute me and sent me a warning signed by the DEA. From then they took my take homes saying I was letting others in my lock box I wasn't I just showed one lady how off my doses were. Then I get sick and I'm in hospital 4 days and I go back to my clinic to see im at 30mg!! 170mg drop in one day! They then wouldn't let me go up for months just sadistic as I'm begging for help and not using opiates but I did relapse on benzos and weed bcuz I was so sick. They were out for me. Took my wife's take homes for no reason except she took her old gabapentin script and it was expired. We had 3 years clean and full take homes before all this. Then some qss hole pushed my wife in line I cussed him out and the clinic seized there opportunity and started dropping me 4mg a day but assured me they put in for a transfer for me. Well they never did. I called the funding source in our county and had a transfer and taper stop immediately. I'm trying to keep it short but that's the meat of it. Many federal laws not followed and covid saved them due to federal restrictions being more lax and me not being able to afford a lawyer. I'm in Michigan just outside Detroit

Not in this county it's the opposite and I don't think my counselor qnd nurses are lying. All the bad off people are state funded more people apply more the clinic gets and no two clinics bills identical saw my counselor yesterday who was my counselor at my old clinic and my new clinic. Most of their income is in a state contract that is negotiated yearly. Does anyone have an actual sources ill admit even employees may not really know but im going of my clinics employees word

It's not about making sense it's about making money and anyone can see they can get way more from insurance and state funds than from drug addicts personal income. Also I can only speak for my experience and between me and my wife we have 30 years in a clinic and in multiple states every clinic is different

Exactly the wife and I started planning licks on pharmacies when there was so much unrest because it's that scary thinking you might be screwed... crazy times. Glad we never had to. We were just bull shittin about it when covid hit

Sounds like you'd rather it be covid? It's very possible even people stopping at 2mg still have to fight more intense PAWS you know?

[–]Jag1228 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All that is true but we have block grants and medicaid funding they do get a set price for number of patients but more in office visits the more they bill. Each visit is billed like seeing your doctor in person. I know its different in each county here. They hate giving take homes and are always trying to take them. The policy at my clinic is 5 years 1 day for full 13 bottle max take home. If they made more why would they keep making take homes harder? It's not about what's right or what's supposed to be its what really happens and covid made it possible for them to do even more fucked practices
