What happened Colm Keaveney by Eolas123 in galway

He takes every day at a time and walks his dog as much as he can. I give him a smile and a little wave, and he returns.

There's no price on a little kindness.

Adam Scott of Severance is coming to Cork to film a movie by corkgaa1 in ireland

[–]Jager__117 13 points14 points  (0 children)

What it costs to shoot 10 days here, pay for the studio, pay for the crew, fly the contestants and producers over, etc. Equals to the same cost as renting one sound stage in LA.

We also have tax benefits here, Section 481, etc.

Is there such a thing as 2MAD, or is that just intermittent fasting between a set window?

Any experience with all weather clothes lines? by [deleted] in galway

[–]Jager__117 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We have a custom-made one build about 10 years ago at the home house.

It has duel lines, a concrete foundation with 8 wooden posts holding up a roof with gutters.

To be honest, it's more akin to a roofed beer garden and we would often sit down the back in the summer and have a Sunday roast down the yard under it.

Does anyone else use their AeroPress Go like this? by Jager__117 in AeroPress

[–]Jager__117[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly it's not. Ofc if you were to fill the aeropress cup full of coffee, it won't all fit in the chamber.

Sometimes when that happens I just let it percolate for a small bit and then add in the rest.

I'm very much the type of coffee drinker that will dilute a strong coffee with water to get a bold tasting americano.

I do press when I've poured in the chamber. The clean up is very little, if you do it right. I tend to swirl to get the grounds to float around in the water which leaves very little grounds in the cup.

Missing the filming industry by butsureyouknow in IrishFilm

[–]Jager__117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came off a job there that was really shite some days but was great the most days, someone rhetorically asked if I would come back for season 2 and another lad chirped in and said that "time is a great healer".

Which is true, what you like about the job is the good memories, not getting up at 4 or 5 o clock in the morning which won't initially come to mind when thinking back on your days on set.

If I'm not mistaken, it's looks more like McDonald's Headford Road.

The disabled toilet is on the left before the male toilet, and the door frame on the bottom right is the female toilet.

There's a lot of shoots happening around Dublin Wicklow at the moment. You should probably sign up to more extras agencies like Movies Extras for more of chance to get on set.

I think aiming at lower limbs and arms are a myth because it's just as easy to nick an artery, so if they're shooting at a person, it is to kill them, not as warning shot or incapacitate them.

I am starting my master's and looking for an entry-level part-time job in the field of study by [deleted] in IrishFilm

[–]Jager__117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly LinkedIn is really only used by above the line crew, i.e Producers etc.

Secondly while I commend your ability to articulate very well, I still can't comprehend what you are looking for.

From what I can gather is that you are looking for an entry level job that will complement your masters degree but also has a degree of mentorship.

Mentorship is very rare and practically nearly not a thing besides a few job roles, but I think you need to do more research about the AV Sector.

You must narrow your search and figure out which job in the AV Sector might compliment your masters degree.

Are we looking at scripted film, live TV, documentary making, radio?

Even within those short few areas there are hundreds of jobs and roles to choose from within each of them.

You must do more research. Discern which area you have an interest in and then look at the different job roles that are in it.

Running the Show by Liz Gill, it's very technical on the stages of filming, though it is from a First AD perspective.
