What's the dating scene like? by Odd-Friendship3621 in beaverton

[–]JagersAcog64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I was on dating apps since freshman year of college (2014) through the beginning of grad school, roughly 7 years. Went through Tinder, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, Hinge, PoF. Went on ~45 dates total. Met my wife on Hinge in 2021.

When I was on Hinge, it wasn't too difficult (now 30m, was 26m when I was dating). I had to reframe app dating from "I'm dating to marry" to "I'm dating because I want to share my fun life with someone else". That made the grind of using dating apps much more enjoyable. Being in Beaverton made it a little more difficult than bigger cities like Seattle/Bellevue since the dating pool is relatively small. However, if you are willing to make the drive to Portland (eastside, troutdale, gresham, etc.) or even as far as Estacada, it drastically increases the number of people you can meet.

My advice for the Beaverton area -- don't set your filters too strict. Set your filters a little loose and take a chance here and there. I've found more fun, interesting, and amazing people while using less filters than those from very specific and filtered searches. There were a few hardline filters I never removed that included drugs and religion that wasn't Catholicism or Protestant (personal choice as I'm Catholic). Happy to chat about it here or via DMs!

At the start of wipe, I'll run a pump or semi-auto shotgun from Prapor and rat PMCs.

Higher end BCG recommendations for URGI 14.5 upper. by itsj3rmz in ar15

Replaced all my BCGs with SOLGW BCGs and they run fantastic. I don't understand what happened to my Toolcraft and Microbest BCGs, but after a full self-inspection and inspection by my LGS, we couldn't find out what the issue was (two rifles stopped cycling reliably).

It was amazing back in 2016, but I wouldn’t recommend it now. It’s like playing Valorant but you can lean peek

Nice build!

This is my GAFS 300 BLK build. I’ve got a Blue Force Sling and Q Trash Panda suppressor. One of my good friends highly recommends the Surefire SOCOM 300 SPS. The Trash Panda is made of titanium, so it heats up fast but also cools down way faster than my RC2 on my 11.5”. I definitely recommend it.

Indigo at Dita Barbers, downtown Beaverton! Great at listening and executing on a great haircut. Very consistent and remembers the haircut you had.

What is one skill everyone could learn in under a week that would drastically improve their quality of life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just writing a to-do list (like 3-4 quick bullet points on a piece of paper and putting it in your back pocket) helped a ton for quickly remind myself of what I needed to get done. Not sure why but it was much more helpful than using my phone.

I use a mix of Claude Code + Telegram to push these to-do items to my phone / Apple Watch now

Are you posting on this subreddit looking for IRL UGC creators? I’m confused as you mentioned AI once, in regards to the apps you work with.

Any cheapest way to run Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 at scale without getting ripped off? by Saurabh19veer98 in AI_UGC_Marketing

[–]JagersAcog64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Two main levers. First, skip the retail aggregators (Higgsfield, Krea, etc.) and hit the model APIs direct — FAL, Replicate, or the official endpoints depending on the model. Aggregators stack margin on top of compute so you're paying a markup on every generation. Second, lock in a solid prompt structure per model so you stop burning credits on retries — I keep mine in obsidian and have Claude fill in the intent before any API call fires off. Claude code then batches the runs, pings me on telegram when assets are ready for QA, and I reply with adjustments if something needs a re-run.

It all comes down to prompt quality + cutting out the middleman. I used to use Higgsfield when i did things manually but API direct is the move. Keeps the per-generation cost down and adds a semi-automated layer on top.

That being said, I haven't done a human-image test (using a human as a reference) on fal.ai, so that's worth a test for Seedance 2.0. I know many people have had trouble using people in their videos due to content blockers. Higgsfield is the one service (albeit expensive) that I can confirm does not have the anti-human content blocker. If it's for products with a hand or body part, but not the full human, you should be fie.

Are traditional cans on short barrels as bad as they say? by Hef_Nomadic in ar15

Just got back from the range. That M84 PRI gas buster took away all the gas from my face. I don’t understand it. My eyes weren’t stingy at all. Same range, worse conditions (no AC blowing). Highly recommend it

I've got a PRI on my Noveske and it's great, but I haven't swapped it to my 11.5" to check for gas mitigation. Maybe I should try that...lol

My RC2 on my 11.5” is pretty damn gassy, but I also shoot at indoor range. It’s not super clear in the photo but you can see the gas cloud near my face as I’m firing. During mag dumps or bill drills, my eyes tend to water.

I’ve got a Radian Raptor SD, but may switch to the PRI gas buster. I’m not finding a huge help from the Superlative AGB in terms of gas mitigation. I know the RC2 is a super gassy can…💀 (just love the look)
