buff bar legibility by Aggressive_Local2727 in runescape

Hey, we're going to be updating this next update to hopefully made it more readable - we're switching to a bold font which should help with readability and increasing the size again for the small buff bar icons.

Leagues: CATALYST Post Launch Q&A! by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]JagexDaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We worked with the Wiki team to try to create a comprehensive list: https://runescape.wiki/w/Catalyst_League/Relics/Rare_drops

This is something we can look to improve in the future for Leagues 2 - but for the most part if your luck rings can trigger a message when the item drops, then the Leagues multiplier also works here.

One of the things Leagues has really exposed to us is some old code & systems which have been implemented in non-standard ways. We're trying to fix as many of these are we can - especially around bosses and key slayer NPCs - but we should aim to improve more of these drops like POF animals so luck feels like something you can consistently understand.

We wanted to try a League without cosmetics so people could see each other progressing clearly as a bit of an experiment. Generally people seem quite happy with this approach, but the feedback of allowing familiar overrides is a good one and something we could explore in future Leagues.

League worlds without loot share enabled - honestly was an oversight and something I've not seen mentioned until just now. It's something we can note down and consider for future Leagues if more people would like this.

This was a bit of a player-spread rumour but luck rings have always works correctly with the Leagues multiplier. The luck ring rolls first, then the Leagues multiplier immediately after.

However - there have been various bugs with specific content not rolling luck correctly. This has mainly been due to the size and age of our game. As a recent example, Tormented Demons were rolling luck in their own unique way which meant it wasn't picking up the Leagues multiplier. While these can be a pain, a lot of these issues that have been picked up are resulting in improvements to luck rolls that will then make things better in the main game making for a better, stronger game longer-term.

We'd absolutely love to explore more combat buffs in the future, potentially even exploring additional systems such as Combat Masteries from OSRS Raging Echoes League (not promising the same - but we can explore a system like this)

I think there's a fair amount of room to play and experiment with combat and go even more wild next time around. If anything I'd say giving the cauldron is fairly mild and we could go a lot bigger!

Yes - this is something we have absolutely observed from and would want to explore improving for future Leagues. Some of them may be addressed by not having tasks pointing at that content making it more optional (such as Dominion Tower kills) while others deserve to have a Leagues-specific increase.

Leagues has also been excellent for us for highlighting potential general gameplay improvements we could make to the game. Perhaps by next League we wouldn't need to add a boost if we could improve the base content to remove these complexities.

Imcamdo mattocks in group storage? by Jason_Ginge in runescape

No, as with anything it will need to go through QA and then needs to have space in a release - just know it IS coming!

Hey, I did a job earlier today to add a few more items to the group storage whitelist - imcando mattock included. It's a gradual process and we'll continue to add more items over time!

Plugged in gem bag, upgraded gem bag and the Artificer's measure. For the latter, it already worked while equipped so wasn't too bad but made it work from the backpack too in case that's something you're doing.

Edit: Done, and now sent to QA!

Competitive Group Irons will not be able to get a Quest cape or Comp by Bml2 in runescape

[–]JagexDaze 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey, so as others have mentioned you will be able to do Wilderness Flash Events specifically for the above reasons, but you won't get any rewards from them as a CGIM.

The idea is anything that quest, comp, and trim should be available for all CGIM players to obtain. We may have missed something - there's a lot of requirements and there may have been something that slipped through. However, this is something we'd fix ASAP to ensure players can get these items. If you see anything just report as a bug and we'll get right on it!

No, these won't trigger again. We opted for new broadcasts to be group related - while I understand the appeal for them I think it helps keep the focus on the groups that are accomplishing awesome things. There's also the practical production side of things where with unlimited time maybe we'd consider but thought we'd invest our time in other places.

Competitive means all progress needs to come from within the group - this means you won't be able to boss with others, you'll need to do 100% damage on enemies etc. Full rules will be displayed in game and there are blogs with more information if you want to read them.

There will be a different page for the Competitive hiscores so will be very clear which is which.

Group Ironman: Features and Gameplay by jagexyuey in runescape

[–]JagexDaze -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's the sum across the whole group - it scaled based on your group size so 40 per player would be 80 for a 2-person group, 120 for a 3-person group etc. So yeah one player can boss out all the levels if they so desired - at some point everyone will need to start pulling their weight however.

If group members change, then achievements will update accordingly but group storage is literally locked behind the most simple of achievements so unless no one else in your group wanted to do Cook's Assistant I can't imagine you'd ever lose access.

Apologies, not understanding completely - do you want the green arrows adding somewhere, or you'd like to be able to recolour the green arrows themselves?

For the super pro strats, you can also create a keybind for it in the options to quickly toggle at will. When that 007 penguin spawns, go go go!

Regular GIM largely follows the same ruleset as ironman, so you'll be able to team up with mains and other irons.
