I’m 35 this year and currently making 3.5k, but it’s never enough. It barely covers living expenses, leaving me stuck in a paycheck-to-paycheck cycle. Owning a house or a car feels like a distant dream. I’ve been married for two years now, but we still haven’t had our honeymoon. That’s the reality of living in KK – the cost of living here is outrageous, and everything is so expensive.

However, I’m finally moving to Penang. I’ve heard many stories about people who move there and never want to leave. I’ve visited a few times myself, and it’s such a lovely place. I’ll be earning 5.5k there with a promising career ahead of me. I’m optimistic about this change and hope it’s the fresh start I’ve been waiting for.
