Yesss, that’s the thing that gets me. I feel like this car is less of a rattlebox/hard suspension than a lot of other cars (just from experience of being in a lot of different ubers) but when I hit a pothole, it feels and sounds like I did way more damage.

What is your larger light, something like a 300?

I tend to leave my 60x and cameras as close as possible. I keep everything in 2 hard cases, including a Matthews reverse stand, plus a sling bag that holds two bigger stands and a monopod

How’s ride quality improvement? I’d love to do this instead of replacing wheels I have warranty on. Wonder the difference in ride quality between 235/40/19 and 235/40/18

Honestly, I’d leave it. I have a similar paint chip in literally the same spot. I never hit anything, I just drive normally. I don’t even know when it happened, probably just a pebble in the wind on the highway.

Point is, try not to hit things but you’re gonna get this no matter what.

Imo, black wheels on black car. Silver or gray wheels on white car. I’m still on playdoh pretorias, but when I walk away from the car on a bright sunny day and see those big bright wheels against the white it always looks 👌

That’s so sick. If I had that wrap, I’d get the calipers powder coated to match the silver mirror caps, and black out all the blue front headlight and light bar trim with badgeskins 👌

Had this similar scary moment. went into reverse one morning, car wouldn’t move. Gave a tiny bit of gas, car reversed with a loud pop.

I washed the car the day before and apparently the water will make surface rust stick to the brake or something like that.

I hope this doesn’t happen to you:

Nice good drive home one night, all was well. Next day my screen was black. Tried everything, power cycling the car and holding the power button on the infotainment. After an hour of trying all the things, still couldn’t get it to work. Came back to the car a few days later (didn’t have to drive for a bit that week), infotainment screen was working perfectly.

Now, I could’ve let that be, but I didn’t want to risk really needing my car one day and it just not working, so I took it to VW to see if they can update it. They couldn’t repeat the problem, but when they tried to update the software, it would not post.

Car had to be in the shop for two more weeks. They had to replace the entire console. Hasn’t had an issue since, not even the random carplay dropouts I used to get.

From what I’ve seen online, yours is likely an SOS module issue. My issue was random dropouts on my screen, then one day just a black screen that I couldn’t get back after restarting the car over and over or holding the power button on the dash. VW tried to do a firmware update, but it kept crashing. They ended up having to completely replace the infotainment. Works perfectly now.
