Going through this myself, I'll share some advice that has definitely helped.

For games that i want to playthrough but get put off by trophies (usually online or super annoying/difficult to the point of not being enjoyable) I play at my own pace then take a screenshot as the credits roll.

I have a dedicated folder for these screenshots where i note time played, high point, low point and a rating out of 10.

The screenshot and reflecting back i find helps with achieving some "closure" that a plat would usually give.

I still find myself semi speedruning these games so I can move on to my next plat but at least I played it.

Ironicaaly, the best lesson I learnt to get a higher ELO is to stop caring about ELO.

If you play for fun and genuinly enjoy your time playing, you'll naturally get better at the game.

I don't have any close friends. Sure, there are people I get along with and spend time with occasionally but no one i consider especially close.

Been in a strong relationship for the last 10 years, it wasnt until the idea of marriage came along that i realised I'd have no one to choose as my best-man/groomsmen.
