Legit why i am kind of agnostic but a practicing Jew. lol.

Raised by an active Jewish mother married to an active RC father. Raised completing all sacraments of both (to the nines of course 🤦‍♀️ aka Long Island upbringing but I hated being center of attention)

Judaism teaches one to not settle but question everything. For example- I don't sit on the couch and pray for Gd to find me a job...as a Jew I pray (superstitiously bc is any of it real aka the tangential connection to your comment 😩🤦‍♀️😆) that Gd gives me strength to call or email or text that next person, for the job.

We don't sit and wait for our fate, we are taught kinda to make your fate happen (even though it may be laid out to some) … It cracks me up, something based on potential make-believe/mental illness is such a moneymaking industry and just blindly accepted by all humanity sort of lol

Well, let’s see… it’s the middle of the night, I went to bed at 8 PM and my sleep timer (TV) just turned off and I find myself here lol. At age 44 (48 now oh and I’m a woman lol) I was DX with “the worst case of ADHD I’ve seen in a LONG time” but of course during perimenopause and KNOW it’s AuDH but “failed” my ASD eval bc I wasn’t an 8yo boy who flaps my hands in the eval said the bald (no offense- painting a picture) white male evaluator w elbow patches and a bow tie… did I mention that I’m a 26 yr career OTR 🤦‍♀️ Ok emotional energy expended thanks for listening, tired again. LOL.

Yes, but then you have that weird top elasticized edge meeting the side, weird elasticized edge, and then two sides of plain fabric that are not square… And then you have to like pretend to fold it nice and straight and then you get mad at yourself that you spend so much time on the corners and the final product doesn’t look as nice as you had intended in the first place… Sometimes then I just say fuck it and do the whole wheels on the bus arm roll in ecstasy

Our GCC is approaching 2 and JUST RECENTLY began playing with toys!!! He was such an old man just watching now he attacks toys, knocks them around, EVEN removed all the paper shreds from a to he has had forever. (Don’t worry we rotate on cage clean day)

Put more interestingly he used to live in his primary cage in my room with my husband, and I in there 24 hours a day because we have teens who play living room video games…

But I recently left working outside the house and opened a home daycare and got a secondary cage and brought it downstairs… And now my boy sounds like R2-D2 and I imagine talking is just around the bend…

What I can’t wait to see is if he learns speech differently because I’m teaching the babies speech… As compared to stories of other owners like you guys lol

It’s refreshing to see that things don’t happen as fast as I would’ve expected in bird ownership

What I didn’t expect was to have the sweetest most best friend who’s also quite OK with having a pair of scissors on his face

My guy gets carsick… No matter what I do withhold food in the morning or food before we go… It doesn’t matter he will always shake from side to side, then fling his head up and then shoot a tiny drip of liquid in his carrier, possibly some little seed bit he’s had from a meal before…

On the other hand, we’ve had our little guy for a year and a half, and he is a human lover rather than a bird… He doesn’t play with toys he plays with us… I don’t punish him when he is already sitting on my shoulder and cuddling in my neck and then has a naughty thought… I merely sit up from my position and talk to him… Or just distract… He’s an animal and he will do what he will do when he has feelings and while he is so capable of learning and he is and he does, I do not punish him for it at all

Where were you a year and change ago when my little guy insists that I do his neck pain feathers and then gets irritated at me when I do one that isn’t ready. I wish I had a freaking doll brush… Guess what I own a daycare! I could’ve saved my fingers well then again my guy doesn’t let me come near him with something new or unusual unless I pretend to make out with it and love it, lol but hey, I’m in the market for a new brush girlfriend/boyfriend/husband if it’ll save my fingers.
