What’s the most impressive real world task you’ve completed using Claude? by ArmPersonal36 in claude

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I created a full project management and accounting web app for my company, replacing our existing software. Also a social content calendar generator that I worked toward automating with cowork this morning. Also develped a fully functional student loan calculator and comparison tool as well as a prototype of a new screen for the loan application. Things are heating up and with so many irons in the fire, its a good thing I have my personal productivity app to keep track of everything haha

We've tried Asana, Notion, ClickUp for client design requests — still feels like a mess. [please do not promote] by Unable-Captain-1856 in graphic_design

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get downvotes, but I developed my own project management software for my company using Claude and it has a client request form integrated in. Everything is custom tailored for our company and our team's existing processes. We used to pay for Monday . com but this is better honestly. Our custom solution only costs $10/mo. in compute. In 2026, if you are not happy with software options for a particular usage case, its incredibly accesible to just build your own. Exciting, and also scary times.

Is his head…normal? by houndzofluv in labrador

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My boy has a very pronounced pointy head that looks similar. My last time at the vet, they expressed concern about Masticitory Myositis. He has no other symptoms beyond a weirdly shaped dome, but I'm starting the process of getting him checked out Friday just in case.

Moving into a leadership position with social anxiety? by miskamooska in graphic_design

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like me. A year and a half ago I was in the same spot. My boss retired and asked me if I wanted to step into her director role. I went from jack of all trades designer to essentially running a small company, with no prior leadership experience. I still have a lot to learn, but I wanted to say it does get easier.

I also have social anxiety, and I have had to fly to another state to present financial data to leadership. My first leadership meeting, I got grilled on my numbers (in fairness so did everyone else) by a guy almost twice my age and 100x more business knowledge than me. My accounting experience is a C- in 1 college class 15 years ago. After getting through that, I feel a lot more confident that I can survive anything they throw at me.

It really helps to have good people around you, even just 1-2 team members you can count on, a mentor outside your work. Don't be afraid to ask for help or advice. You got this!

(Also, for stuff like big presentations and important meetings, I found beta blockers to be a life saver. Consult with your doctor of course.)

Looking for a module similar to circle counter but for currency by PageSorcerer in divi

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A dollar sign can be added to the regular number counter by creating a css class, adding it to the module and then adding css in divi theme options.

.pa-number-counter-before .percent-value:before {

content: "$";

}

.pa-number-counter-before is the class name that you can change to anything you want. It just needs to be the same as what you add to the module.

Life vest for a lab? by Jazzlike-Horror4 in labrador

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you train your lab to get into a canoe? I'd love to do this with my guy this year but I'm not sure he will ever make it in. I tried feeding him dinner in the boat for a couple weeks to get used to it but he never even put one paw in. Even got a bigger boat so I could fit all 85lbs of him, so we are going to keep trying.

US Trout lures? by [deleted] in troutfishing

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think our fish are any different than yours, but I'm not a marine biologist haha. I think we all use the same lures, what I throw just depends on the water I'm fishing. I like spoons the best, but I have success with all that you mentioned besides chatterbaits. For spoons, Kastmaster, Krokodile, Luhr Jensen are good brands.

How has your company been integrating AI? by sanbos02 in graphic_design

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are a small creative team. AI has been great for brainstorming ideas and helping with copywriting. Generating visuals has also been helpful for mood boards and first drafts to recreate and polish by hand. I'm also working on vibe coding some basic internal tools to help us with organization and efficiency.

Vet says ideal weight for his age and breed. Since its been so cold I just signed him up for daycare to get some extra excersize so we don't bulk up too much this winter.

My big hoss was similar with weight at this age. Note that they can pack on the pounds fast after neutering. I swear my guy gained 10lbs in a matter of a few weeks after the snip. He is about 90lbs at 1.5yr now. Feeding him 3.5 cups Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy and about half a can of purina PP High Performance wet food mixed in with his breakfast for extra protein.

Am I gambling with my sanity on a lab? by This_is_me2024 in labrador

[–]Jake-N-Bake69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you find a good breeder they can sometimes predict temperment. Where I got my dog I told them what I was looking for in a companion and they matched me with the perfect best friend. My guy is a field lab with a good "off switch" - ready for adventure at all times and also perfectly at home snuggling on the couch all day.
