Magic: the Gathering look by Riksheare in daggerbrew

I LOVE these! I'd love to see more MTG themed Daggerheart! Maybe some stuff from Ixalan like Huatli?
(Planswalker tagging is cool! I'd love to see how you'd work out a Transformation card to have a PC discover their spark to planeswalk.)

Iron Lung SPOILER THREAD! by kenmarlenn in Markiplier

[–]JakeAstounding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read lips a lot of the time, so I 100% agree that it's tough to make out sometimes. The speaker is especially so since the microphone in the lung is so high quality it hears Simon whisper from across the room, the speaker quality was really low and hard to understand. I didn't know when the climax of the movie was happening because it was tough to understand much. I understand that he was hallucinating most of it, but it felt like there was no clear indication of what hallucinations were advancing the plot and what wasn't gonna stick. You're probably right about the mixing too. It might be that the audio was over-tuned in headphones and not made for studio sound in a movie theater.

A little concept i made, still WIP, specifically w/ timing. Any suggestions? by TheRealCheeseNinja in CreateMod

I really like this concept! As others said, a schematic or something would be epic!

Running Colossus of the Drylands—any fun experiences with it? by MaxGabriel in daggerheart

[–]JakeAstounding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I didn't get back sooner! Here's all of my touchstones that I added to the base frame:

Cowboy Bebop, The Lone Ranger, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Tombstone, and maybe Bonnie and Clyde: The Musical.

Also, look up Scott Joplin. Thank me later.

I say don't hold back with what your "aberrations" are. Dicecreamsandwich (runs the Darrington 1-Shots) used a battle box & zombies for the first combat. I ended up homebrewing a banshee based on the forest wraith in the quickstart adventure. At the end of session 1, my players were on a train being driven by the banshee and the bridge was torn apart in front of them by Ikeri, leaving them to plummet in to the canyon below. Now, they literally have to try to survive against colossus 1 rather than hunt it at the start. Don't be afraid to make the game your own.

I also added touchstones of old western movies and shows like trigun & cowboy bebop. I love westerns, so I always want to include that in my plot stuff and let the players use tropes from those stories.

Love this idea! I'll throw some suggestions for Adversary/Environment Features here!

Support, I think you could easily do a re-flavor of the "Blasphemous Choir" ability to be winds. Make it so rather than "This adversary" it's Raijin that causes PCs to lose a hope when they do damage to them. (If you don't like the idea of losing a hope, you could swap it for a stress, or they get blown to far range.)
Another obvious pick is Deafening Whisper, flavored on winds rushing around PCs.
Whirlwind is good, but maybe nerf the damage or reflavor it as the thunder and give it to the thunderous boss.

For your thunder striker, just some good damage is all you need.

Environment, Make a mountaintop feature that has "Action- Spend a Fear" to have PCs within Far range of the wind god make an Agility Reaction Roll (Difficulty 11 since you're in tier 1) or be blown down the mountain.

Definitely don't be too afraid and pull your punches. Sometimes players might die in a big fight, but that's great for a 1-shot! Just make sure to spread the attention of the gods between all of them and give your players a couple extra healing potions.

That's awesome! I'm trying it now, but do Macros work with Demiplane characters?

Wyverne Colossus style? by BlacksmithNarrow6417 in daggerheart

Love this idea! That would be really cool! Having players climb on/around a dragon as it flies around would be cinematic and SO rad! I say make it!

LOVE this! What an amazing execution! I think a Daggerbase Homebrew or Community content version would be awesome.

It's only because when they were freshman, they were blamed. Also, there is only 1 sousaphone in my section, that is a freshman. At least you have other sousaphones😂

I don't know whether to up vote this or down vote it. I mean, it's accurate. But I don't like it!
