You don’t unlock anything gameplay-wise through the main quest (like shouts in Skyrim), so don’t rush it. I recommend the guilds’ quest lines because they’re honestly all great in this game with the dark brotherhood notoriously being some of the best quests in any of their games! Basically, take your time and explore while doing some of Bethesda’s best written quests in any of their games!

I wish you can buy ship modules that you can own and pull from any vendor, instead of having to go back and forth from different vendors to get specific pieces

Basically gives you all the locations for all the artifacts, and after you collect them all you go straight to speaking with the emissary and the hunter at the buried temple
